Devilsfan118
He'll definitely get 68
Devil Dan 56
He'll wear 68. It's a dedication to his grandfather who died while wrongfully imprisoned in 1968 and the rebellion that same year.
NJCroMag
He'll get #68 but, in a strange twist, they'll make him go with the phonetic spelling of YOGGER on the back of his jersey.
'7'
Lou had always let stars keep their high numbers. Will be the same with Jagr
BlueSkirt
Well, I'l hope for the best here. He's still got great hands, but nowadays he's wearing concrete skates
thelastonealive
Yeah Jagr keeps 68, we make a ton in merch sales, and maybe our power play doesn't suck quite as bad as it could have yesterday. I like the deal. Hopefully it wasn't for a ton of money, but whatever. Now, if we could just nail down Brunner or Boyes, that'd be swell. ThreeCups
Well, I'l hope for the best here. He's still got great hands, but nowadays he's wearing concrete skates Won't affect him setting up shop on the PP, and when he is holding the puck on the wall while using his gigantic body to shield the puck
StormJosh
DAMNIT KOVALCHUK WE COULD HAVE NATIONALIZED OUR LINES. You ruined everything! Olesz - Elias - Jagr Zubrus - Loktionov - Kovalchuk. Clowe - Henrique - Ryder Gionta - Zajac - Carter
MantaRay
Oh good, a 2nd round pick when we trade him in March to a contender.

Jerzey
Good signing. Hopefully we can still nab Brunner for more than a year. Team is gonna look pretty different from what last years team looked like. I honestly don't know what to expect. Added: Jagr Clowe Ryder Schneider Lost: Kovy Clarkson Hedberg Tallinder Poni

nick17112
1 year $3.5 million. Ill take that. Now to get a Jagr jersey

I agree though. Should be an upgrade especially when you consider how much the Devils relied on Kovy (good or bad). Remember how much ice time he got when he first arrived? Point is I think the offense will look significantly different than they did last year, hopefully for the better.
Coorslight
Andrew Gross @AGrossRecord 3m Devils GM Lou Lamoriello on Jaromir Jagr report: "It's all rumors right now. If we have anything to report, we'll do that." LMAO watch Lou void the contract before it's even signed.

coldply123
I think we are done for now. Don't see us adding Brunner.
MantaRay
WE will be a contender I hope you are right. But this a band-aid and not a good long term strategy in building a winner.
