If it were true, then he would be scratched due to injury...which is the more typical scratch in my mind. I used the word normal instead. If Gomer was scratched because of play then scratch Elias too; he's been just as inconsistent and moody. TiVo I could picture being a scratch just as an excuse to ease him back into the lineup but still it is mysterious. Did Matt say that it was just cause of play? I didn't hear; I haven't been attentive to the game really after all the craziness today. If Gomer left just cause he was a healthy scratch than shame on him (unless it is because of a personal problem that we wouldn't know about). That's not a team move. If it was for another reason, then that would be the latest damn trade I can remember on the deadline. There've already been over 20 deals today. Amazing.
