DEVILS 2007-08 SCHEDULE

Agreed. It's a great time when you have another couple to go with who also loves hockey as much as you do. puckrock, gordie, Mr. RD and I went to Pittsburgh in '06, we also went to Lowell this past season (I went to Buffalo too, but it was just Mr. RD and me). We're gonna branch out and try Colorado this season. I can't wait.

I used to go on road trips with my brother, which, don't get me wrong -- it was fun, but it would have been more fun if there were more people involved. I went to Montreal twice with him (went with my mom once when I was a lot younger), also went to Albany and Buffalo with him.

See, most of my hockey-liking friends are Rangers fans, which is kind of fun in it's own right, but we usually don't make it outside of MSG and here. Also they have a kid, so road trips are out.

I didn't even notice the Devs were playing in Colorado this year first time I read the schedule...I have family out there, that could happen.

The home game I'm most looking forward to is November 28th vs. Dallas. Every time I see them play it reminds me of the 2000 Finals. 2/2 vs. LA as well, as LA is the only NHL team I've never seen live.

I'm not a huge fan of this years schedule, but I do think it'll be a little more entertaining than last years.

2/20 vs the Sharks is almost exactly 15 years after my first NHL game, also Devils/Sharks. I'd like for that game to end the same way my first one did, 5-0. \m/

Speaking of Devils games and birthdays, my birthday is a perfect day for the home opener. October 7th. Only problem is that for some reason, there is never a home game on 10/7. Usually there isn't even a game. The last home game on my birthday was in the 99-00 season, and I remember that it was a great night. That's why I wish the scheduling would match up again so I could plan something like that.

Anyway, I think that if the Devils can go 5-4 on the opening road-trip, it could be considered a success. Also, I think it's good that the Devils open at home against the Sens, as that may not have been a sell-out later in the season.

yeah like that too. in jersey. similar to last year, lots of the same teams, not till feb we seem to play some diff teams out by the west coast. will have to take some time to look at the schedule some more and figure out the tough periods, but is it me is does it seem strange we're starting with so many away games?

Me and 3 friends of mine do all of our hockey road-tripping together. Only problem is I'm a Devs fan, 2 of them are Isles fans, and the other is a Canadiens fan. Needless to say, there's a lot of compromising on road trips. We try to hit Montreal atleast once a year. We'll be headed there this year to catch the Isles and Rags there on the same weekend. We're also planning on Devils in Boston and an Ottawa game of some sort, so if anyone has any advice on either of those cities, let me know.

If you're hitting a Boston game, you should try to plan it around a Lowell Devils game too...Lowell isn't that far from Boston and the arena actually isn't half bad. Tickets are cheap and it's a fun night for any Devils fan.

Nah, to me the Super Bowl is a Day of Religious Observance, and it has nothing to do with being on a Sunday. I also feel the day after should be a holiday, and banks, post offices, schools, the financial markets, etc. should be closed.

The first games I try to get rid of are the weekend games that interfere with the NFL play-offs. I am a slightly bigger Giants fan than Rangers. 1) Giants 1a) Rangers and a distant 3) Mets. As far as the sport itself, it is clearly football 1st, hockey 2nd. Probably because I played football and know the little intricacies (sp?) of the game much better than hockey.

Ha, yeah. We actually went on the same weekend last year. (It was Isles and Pens that time.) Watching the Super Bowl on Canadian TV is strange. They don't have any of the cool commercials. Funny thing is, there were LOTS of Americans in the bars that night. I was surprised.
