  1. Here's a list of rules regarding booze in Utah: Confused about Utah liquor laws? Here the answers to your most pressing alcohol questions. (sltrib.com)
  2. I've always wondered about that, re: the Jazz players. I guess you save the "fun nights" for the road trips.
  3. Da Ali G: ”So what does you think about those peoples who live in Utah? The morons?”
  4. The Dobson one was pretty bad (and amazingly no boarding penalty was called), but Laviolette sounds like a fvcking idiot with what he said about Pelech. Maybe Zibanejad should look where the fvck he's going next time.
  5. Since Torts scratched Couturier, the Flyers have gone 2-8-3 and have been outscored 62-34. Maybe it’s a simply a case of a bad team finally crashing hard back to Earth, but why a relatively smart hockey guy like Torts is allergic to ever evolving…he just can’t seem to help himself.
  6. Same. Also hope that he doesn’t turn out to be one of those guys who misses 20 games or so every year. The guy is SO damned talented.
  7. Well the Zamboni ride was kinda cool. Nice to see Nico almost stubbornly still getting his points. And to see Dawson finally get a couple as well. And that‘s about all I got for positives. Only three more games of Green and Smith. If Fitz decides to move on from Bahl, I won’t fight him on it. Like others have noted, you’re either physical or you’re not, and Bahl just seems way too hesitant to ever consistently use his considerable size. Maybe a legit defensive coach (either head or assistant) can pry that out of him, but this was a largely disappointing season for him.
  8. I’m surprised this wasn’t reported as “upper body surgery”.
  9. Agree that Torts is probably safe (the Flyers were NOT expected to be in a playoff chase this season), but like I mentioned previously, a little too much of the old Torts came out as the Flyers struggled down the stretch. I'm not sure that constantly berating your players in the press is the way to go. I think Torts definitely brings some positives to the table, and I think that he did a hell of a job to get them as far as he did before it all crashed and burned, but when Evil Torts comes out, he has a way of shortening his coaching stays.
  10. Yep...if the Devils lose in regulation, they can only finish with 85 points max. All it will take is any two teams currently ahead of them finishing with 86 points or more. Right now the Isles have 85, and the Wings and Pens have 84. The Wings and Caps play each other too, which means one of them is coming away with two points. If the Wings win, that's 86...the Caps would finish the night with 85 should they win. I suspect if they're not dead tonight, they will be by Thursday at the latest. Which like I said, there had better not be any "We were in it until the end" nonsense from the organization (I suspect that there won't be).
  11. Yeah I can't say it's something that I would ever purposely seek out to do lol.
  12. Yeah see ya next year Jack! Hopefully a healthier 2024-25 season awaits him.
  13. Yeah Bratt has earned every cent of his paycheck. I have no beefs with him at all; the Devils "biggies" (Nico, Jack, Bratt and Timo) were not really the problem this year...in Timo's case, it sure seems like Lindy got in the way far too often. If anything I like that Bratt's finishing the season strong...hopefully when the Devils are playoff-bound again, we'll see that continue. Last year it was a different story.
  14. I think you're going to hear some of the players taking some digs (in some cases maybe even directly) at Lindy once the exit interviews start. The questions that Fitz can expect to hear again in his own exit interviews: "Did you make the wrong choice in both keeping Lindy and then sticking with him, especially once he appeared to lose the room?" "Did the ready-made in house solution get away?" I'm sure Fitz won't be thrilled to have to answer those but I think they're fair. This team should not have missed the playoffs, especially since the teams that are going to claim the Metro3 and WC2 spots are hardly beastly. There's going to be a TON that Novo and others will point to. It's going to be a MUCH different offseason for Fitz...not much in the way of accolades coming until he implements a recovery plan that makes sense.
  15. Whoops, I was making a GDT as well, and just posted. Which one should we go with?
