Rock
NJ Devils winger Patrik Elias not sure if he'll ever feel 100 percent this season http://www.nj.com/devils/index.ssf/2009/11/nj_devils_winger_patrik_elias.html
95Crash
That's a bit of a bummer. He had a good season last year, and I was really looking forward to see how he would do this year under Jacques. Hopefully he doesn't let it get to him. funetiklee
yeah i don't wanna hear that. if he's not 100% i'm not sure i want to see him as a top-6 forward.
njdevil26
Is it just me or has Patty been whining about something after every practice and game. As well as being a downer and a jerk at all of the season ticket holder functions.
Easy Parise
yeah i don't wanna hear that. if he's not 100% i'm not sure i want to see him as a top-6 forward. Elias at 30% is still better than a good portion of this team. Edited November 19, 2009 by Easy Parise
SatansDevils
It takes a lot of time toheal on the surgeries that Elias had in the off season. I will be happy with a 80-90% healthy Elias this season. The more rest he gets though on the off days maybe he will be close to 100%. It sucks but at least he admitted it that he won't be 100% this season.
Jerrydevil
It is what it is. He's doing his best to get ready to play.

funetiklee
maybe he's better than the 4th liners at 30%. and even at 80-90% i still don't like him as a top-6 guy.
RowdyFan42
Wonder if this is a lingering effect of the hepatitis. EDIT: What I mean by that is just a general weakening of the body and longer recovery times from both sickness and injury. funetiklee
i can see him abruptly retiring one of these years ... + 1 i just get the feeling with all he's been through with the hepatitis and now this surgery that he won't be playing late into his 30's. he seems like a really old 33 year old. CRASHER
As well as being a downer and a jerk at all of the season ticket holder functions. Watching your body fail you and you performance skills eroding in front of you due to disease, etc... that's gotta be a tough thing to swallow, I'm sure he's having troubles coming to terms with this... especially since he SHOULD have good years in front of him..... RWTDblog
certainly seems to be whining a lot this season. We get it, your surgeries sucked and that kind of surgery can mess with your speed on the ice. Stop whining, it could always be worse, you could be Brian Rolston and just suck for no reason. Jerrydevil
he should take it easy and skip the olympics, then he will be ready for the spring. He is the highest-paid Devil player and he's still not 100%, which means that there's no way he should be allowed to play in the Olympics. I know I won't be happy if he goes.
