Some good points there. I'll add to it by saying we don't know how much Fitz tried to make changes, both to the head coach or players, but the people he wanted weren't available or were overpriced. Having said that, my faith in him has gone down several notches.

There's probably teams in the play-offs that'll can their coaches when they get eliminated that Fitz might want to look at. Can't see any changes by Friday, but Fitz really needs to be ahead of the curve on this.

Can we change coach between periods?

Even if there isn't a permanent replacement, if you're serious about trying to get to the play-offs, you get in a coach until the end of the season. There just aren't any justifiable excuses why Ruff is still in charge.

I always thought he was pretty decent for us, but it certainly hasn't gone well for him in Pittsburgh. Can't see many teams wanting to take his contract on.

I have no doubt that every action by both the NHL and individual clubs has been scrutinized and cleared by their legal teams. It's the only way they can protect themselves against being sued at a later date.

+ find a new goalie coach. How Rogalski still has a job defies belief.

I think we need a goalie coach as much as we need a goalie. Rogalski hasn't received anywhere near the criticism he deserves.

I never used to rate him, but he's grown on me. He definitely stepped up in the playoffs last season and he's been really solid this year.

They already have someone to hand towels to the players. Send him to the press box I say.
