ghdi
So the tool has us as being involved (amongst a slew of other teams) in discussions for trading for him. What do we have to offer for him? Is he even a feasible option?
Jdub
They want a top 6 foward for him. we can't offer that and I think it would be silly to give one of our good prospects for him
MantaRay
I would love to have Kaberle, but I would not do this if it around a Phil Kessel type of exchange. Toronto is asking alot for someone they just want to get rid of.

ghdi
who?i checked HB assuming you were referring to Єklund (2.3% accurate) (2.3% accurate) but I didnt see anything on Kaberle and NJ Yes, he does. Its the third thing on the site w/ a Blackhawks icon. Read the blurb: Kaberle Update...Chicago? (E3)"something definitely up when Kaberle's name is now link to Chicago. The Sabres, Blues, Devils and Thrashers are very much in this as well." I didnt post it because I think its going to happen or anything. I was more curious if others think/thought it could get done. I dont think so because of the lack of assets.

JesterDevil
Zubrus is big. That makes him a Burke player. Plus he's a goal scorer. (shhhh go with it.)

CRASHER
unless of course you're playing NHL2009. and why go for Kaberle then when you can get Ovechkin
trajik78
we have 2 offensive D's in Oduya and Martin...(eh, Mattau as well...kinda) so to give up a top 6 forward from an already offensively bleeding team makes NO sense at all.

njdevil26
Burke will want Clarkson. I don't think we are deep enough to be able to make that trade.

Devil Dan 56
Yes Scott we know how much you'd like to put your nose through his pant-zipper. Also, why the hell would Chicago go after Kaberle? They have a good group of defensemen and they are way over the cap. Ecklund needs to stop picking players and teams out of a hat.

MadDog2020
it's actually a good fit. if chicago could trade campbell and byfuglien for kaberle white and frogren, i think they'd do it. Of course they would- I'm sure they would LOVE to dump Campbell's contract... but who the hell wants that albatross for the next 6 years? Triumph
Of course they would- I'm sure they would LOVE to dump Campbell's contract... but who the hell wants that albatross for the next 6 years? toronto's the one team that can stomach it. maybe campbell + sharp, sharp's contract is really good and gives toronto a decent 1st line center. how about this: brian campbell (7.1) + brent sopel (2.33) + patrick sharp (3.9) + 1st = 13.3 for tomas kaberle (4.25) + mike van ryn (2.5, UFA in 2010) + jeff finger (3.5) + matt stajan (1.9, UFA in 2010) = 12.4 this year, 7.75 next year the hawks save 6 million for next season.
