Now he's down to 60 last year & this year won't even reach 50. 31 and done for him -- but 3 years left on that deal. He'll be seeing the waiver wire & minors before this contract is expired. I remember all of that too well, re: Ranger fans, how Gomer was a lock to notch 100 points w/o the Devils holding him down, etc. On a related note, Gio's not exactly lighting it up this year for Montreal either: 19 goals, but just 9 assists, for 28 points in 52 games. I never had a problem with him leaving, and never had a problem with Lou not re-signing him...I still think Lou called that one correctly. His best years will always be the years he had here in New Jersey. Right now he is just a useless piece of garbage and a waste of money for the Habs.
