Ok I'll Try

Although my user name is Point, it has nothing to do with hockey. I used to live in Point Pleasant up until last March. At one time, I used ppfan. Some took that to mean I was a Pittsburgh Penguins fan. Sorry for the confusion. Along witha few other users, I sit in Section 215 on a regular basis, so if you are at a game, please don't throw your beer around in that section.

heh...uhmm...I'm RoughDraft, and I've been on this board for an obscenely long amount of time, so I have no right introducing myself....but yeah, I used to go by the name Sykkie17 and I found this board from someone advertising it on ESPN. Used to be a regular over there, BTW. And yeah, I essentially run the show on the front page, yay!

I am westcoastdevfan. I reside in San Diego County in Southern California but I was born in New York and raised in New Jersey. I have been on this board coming up on 2 years. I found this board searching for Devils sites on google. My better half is also on the board. She can tell you who she is, if you don't already know. We also have kids and I have brainwashed them to believe that there is no other hockey but Devils hockey. As my 12 month old daughter would say, "ets ahhhhhhh Dbls!" (let's go Devils) :D

My turn: I am devilsfan26 :D . I have been on this board for about 2 months or so. I live in Woodbridge Township, where I am surrounded by basketball players and rangers fans. I like to look at the bright side of this: I get to beat up the wimpy basketball players if they make me mad because any hockey player can knock out any basketball player, and having all the rangers fans around is nice because I get to make fun of at least 5 people every single day! I am in my junior year of high school and am turning 16 in a couple of months. I play defense in a roller hockey league and goalie and defense in a street hockey league. I have been trying to get a hockey team for my high school for the past 2 years, but our school is way too poor to afford one because we spend money on our stinkin' football team who was like 0-11 last year, and 1-10 the year before. Obviously, I like the Devils, and I also like the Wild, Yankees, D-Backs, and Jets.

Don't know if anyone cares, but I am also a roller hockey fan, I follow the MLRH (Major League Roller Hockey) and my favorite team is the New Jersey Bullets, who happen to play in the same rink I play at.

I'm NJayDevil, or Jay, or Justin, or Little J to ESB. I live in Toms River, NJ but currently attending Penn State Hazleton so currently living in Hazleton, PA. I will only be here for 2 years before transferring to Penn State University Park.

Been a avid Devils fan ever since the 93-94 season and can't get enough of them since then. I've been playing hockey every since I was 8 and will continue to play until the bones in my legs can't function anymore. I'm also a bigtime golfer. I've been playing every since I was 10 or 11, but competitvely since I was 13-14. Every summer my game gets better and better. I'm at a 16 handicap right now while I'm projected to be a stratch golfer because of the fundamentals I posess. Let's see if that projection holds up, I sure hope so. Such a great game once you get the hang of it, but will still remain the most frustrating sport you will ever play.

I'm also a Giants fan. The first memories of that team was when they won the Super Bowl back in 91 and the past 5 or so years has been when I've really got into football. Great game to watch and a great game to play in your friends background. I'm a Yanks fan as well but I don't follow baseball as much as Hockey, Golf, Football. I inherited following the Yanks from my dad and him and I go to 1-2 games a season. I'm not a bandwagon fan, I've watched and rooted for that team in the early 90s when they were a nothing team.

I'm Larry, 38, grew up in Colonia. Live now in Union county.

Went to first Devils game in Jan. 83.

Devils scored 3 late goals to beat the Penguins. That was it for me, no more rooting for NY teams after that game.

Went to at least 5-10 games per year after that first season, if $$ would allow. I used to be a die-hard Yankee fan, but gave up on baseball after August 94 strike, and have never been back.

I am a bit unusual in that I am a big fan of both the Giants & Jets. I know, how could that be? Always have, since I was little.

I am a Rutgers alumni, that big football power of the Big East; I know every year I think that they will turn it around.

I also used to love rock music, but got so tired of it; that I now like country. The same music I used to make fun of & say it was trash; now is just about the only music I truly enjoy.

I met my wife in the Devils fan club in 1988, married in 92; became parents in 98.

The other love of my life, my 5 1/2 yr.old daughter Courtney, whom I think the world revolves around, so of course she's spoiled. But she's a spoiled Devils fan & has already been to more playoff games than I did until I was 23 yrs. old. She also doesn't know what the phrase "playoff-bound new york rangers" means, since those words have never been uttered since her birth.

You forgot the most important one- Rusty!!! ;):D

Ok... I'm Gina (short for Regina, but I only get called that in school) or a lot of other nicknames that I've accumulated. I'll be 14 tomorrow and I'm a high school freshman at a Catholic school in Union County. I like it so far, but getting up at 5:30 isn't very fun, to say the least. I live in a very small town in Middlesex County, which has been my hometown since I was three. Before that I lived in Whitby, Ontario (the town that Nieuwy's from) and a suburb of Baltimore, MD. Obviously, I'm a huge Devils fan and have been since October 2001. Scott Niedermayer is my favorite player and I even made a site about him. I love collecting hockey cards and started to about a year and a half ago. I must have around two thousand by now, about 150 of them are Nieds cards and I think I have eight or nine of his jersey cards. I've been to 15 Devils games total, 12 of them last season, including two SCF games. Awesome experiences! :)

Well, I could say more, but I think that's more than enough of what people want to hear about me, hah.

No fair!! I have 0 jersey cards after about 10 years of collecting probably somewhere near 6000 hockey cards or so. <_< I traded either some baseball jersey card (Todd Helton) or a football triple-jersey card (Edgerrin James, Marvin Harrison, and Peyton Manning) to my friend for a Scott Stevens puck card about a year ago.

Have you tried E-bay? That's where I got all of mine.

Here I go,

I'm Ron, and live in "Hockeytown West" Grand Rapids, MI. Lived here my whole 23 years of existence :argh: . Married for 3 years, 2 kids, Dustin (3) and Logan (1) and a third on the way in Feburary  .

Grew up on Baseball and Football, until I was about 12 and realised how much baseball sucked (IMO). Then switched to hockey and became obsessed with the Devils during the 94' playoffs which was my first exposure to them. Favorite Devils are John Madden and Scott Stevens.

I play in a roller hockey league off and on as time permits, mostly play Defense and wear #4. When my kids get old enough I plan on coaching their team (if they decide to play, their decision).

I'm into pretty much all music, mostly metal though, favorite bands are Type-O-Negative, Megadeth, and Life of Agony and then a few good pop songs that come up every now and then.

In my spare time, I like to rebuild computers, play with the kids, and look at the stars.

That be about it folks.

Jester -- you have to expose them to it early though don't forget! I mean if you have them in hockey skates at 3 making sure they know how to skate - well that doesn't constitute pushing them in any direction. I mean how much would you bum if say your kid finally decided at like 10 or something that (s)he wanted to play hockey -- but you accidentally screwed them over waiting for them to make "their decision!"

No doubt PK.

I play "fisher-price" hockey with them atleast once or twice a week, they both have good shots for their age and Dustin has his scoring celebration down pretty good  . They also come watch me play from time to time. Dustin already has some blades, and when there is time, I take him out for some training.

I just wish Ice Skates weren't so expensive  .

Alrighty then, I will take a turn.

My name is Chris, I am 39 years old, and live in Colts Neck, NJ, My wife and I started dating because she had extra tickets to a Devils game way back in 89, and my brother knew I was a fan, and hooked us up. We have been together ever since then, so obviously the Devils are a big part of our family. Been coming to these boards since the old Redrum days, and was a fixture at alt.sports.NJ.devs.whatever.it.was,called (had it bookmarked). Was a season ticket holder for number of years, witnessed both Home Stanley Cup victories in person. My wife was 8 months pregnant with our second child when the Devs, and Stars played that triple overtime loser (lot of trips to the bathroom that night).

I play hockey at least 4 times a week, mostly Roller in two leagues, and some pick up ice, and roller beides. Grew up in North Jersey, moved to Seaside, then Toms river, Brick, Tinton Falls, and current address. My extended family does not understand this hockey obsession, and I have pissed off quite a few, leaving to play, or go to a Devils game, instead of some family function. I am consytantly bruised, and wear them like trophies. Both of my kids have grown up with hockey, my daughter who is six, is begging me to take her to more Devils games already this year, and whenever my son sees any sport on tv he starts saying hockey, hockey, regardless of the sport ( he is 2). My daughter skates, though not well, and wants to play, were waiting on the boy for skating though...

Big Springsteen fan, though I haven't caught a single show this year.

I don't know that's about it, except that I read these boards every day, even if I don't post here alot. It's funny I feel like I know alot of you, though I wouldn't know you if you passed me on the street.....

Ok I'll take a shot at this. My name is Brandon. I'm 15 and live in somerset. I didn't care much for hockey until the town built a small out door inline rink right next to my house. Then I became hooked. In fact I'm pretty good at inline now and then I started ice and less could be said about that. I'm single and probably will be for a while. I've seen every Devils game I could possibly see (probably why I'm single) and I'm hoping to major in journalism in college when I go.
