Sounds like A brodeur is leveling off. Hope it just all the pressure this year.

His brother Jeremy is having a pretty solid junior season for Shattuck-St. Mary's so far. He's been splitting the games with senior Luke Kania who was actually the goalie Anthony battled for playing time last year.

Jeremy: 7 GP 6-1-0, 1.46 GAA, .944 SV%, 2 SO

It will be interesting to see if Jeremy goes to Oshawa (OHL) next year or returns to SSM for his senior season. He's a 2015 NHL draft eligible. Jeremy's twin, William (F), is listed on SSM's Midget AAA roster but hasn't played yet. Not sure why but he never seemed like much of a prospect.

Tuesday 10/29
OHL
Kingston defeated Ottawa 2-1
Ryan Kujawinski C: DNP (4th game missed with a day-to-day injury)
Season: 10 GP 5-3-8, +4, 12 PIM

From the Kingston Whig-Standard, Kujawinski has returned to practice and the coach has put potential 1st round pick, LW Spencer Watson on his line with the undrafted RW Billy Jenkins.

WHL
Swift Current defeated Lethbridge 3-2 (SO)
Graham Black C: Assist, E, 2 PIM (Boarding)
Season: 16 GP 6-8-14, +2, 16 PIM

NCAA
Ohio State defeated Bowling Green 5-3
Curtis Gedig D: +2, 3 Shots, 4 Blocks
Season: 6 GP 0-0-0, +2, 2 PIM, 7 Shots

Harvard tied RPI 3-3
Alexander Kerfoot C: Goal, +1, 3 Shots, 8/23 Faceoffs
Season: 2 GP 1-1-2, +3, 0 PIM, 6 Shots, 43.4 FO%

Kerfoot is centering the top line with LW Jimmy Vesey ('12 3/66 NSH) and RW Kyle Criscuolo (undrafted NJ native). Both Vesey and Criscuolo are sophomores. Vesey was teammates with Blake Pietila on last year's USA WJHC Gold Medal winning team. Nice to see Kerfoot is off to a strong start in his NCAA career. Interesting note from Jeff Cox:

.@Harvard_Hockey's first line of Jimmy Vesey, Alex Kerfoot and Kyle Criscuolo have 10 of team's 15 shots on goal through 40 minutes. #ECAC

Posted this previously, but the other Gatineau goalie, Robert Steeves, is 20 years old (he's 2.5 years older than Anthony) and has some experience...he's also outplayed Brodeur early on, though Steeves' save%s haven't been good in his last two games (.853 and .833).  Gatineau gave Anthony a shot at making it a split early on, but Steeves had a strong relief appearance, and was playing better at that point, so he got to run with it.  I'm guessing Anthony gets another shot, but I'm also guessing he was slated to be the backup unless Steeves faltered.  But let's face it, if the Devils don't draft him, he probably doesn't get drafted at all.  I'm rooting for him big-time, would love to see him beat the odds...but he's a major longshot.

Gatineau has a back to back tonight and tomorrow so hopefully Brodeur gets into one of these games. They play Halifax who is 3rd in the Q tonight and then Victoriaville who is 12th so I suppose Thursday's game is more likely for Brodeur to feature in.

Jason saw him, and I have no first hand knowledge, but if you google Bell a bunch of reports are complimentary of his skating. Maybe a bad night?

That must have been as a defensmen at the CHL level. With his stride I doubt he gets much better, it is short and certainly doesn't make use of the full blade. At best he may skate like Ryder.

Steeves now 7-1 in his last 8 GP, and 10-4 overall (he won last night).  Tonight would be a perfect time to give Anthony another start...Victoriaville is not only 12th, but doesn't score much either...15th out of 18 teams in goals-for.

A couple of notes... First, Miles Wood actually has another year left at Noble & Greenough (USHS) before attending Brown University. Secondly, I finally put together my prospect stats spreadsheet and cleaned it up a bit this year and added in additional number breakdowns between special team stats and primary/secondary assists and points. You can check that all out here.
