Satans Hockey
sucks for Buffalo Bills season ticket holders. An email from WGR 550 sports radio... Sources have told WGR 550 that the Bills have worked out a deal to play one regular season game in Toronto a year for the next 5 years. In addition, the Bills will play 3 preseason games in Toronto over the next 5 years. The games will be played in the Rogers Centre. The official announcement has not yet come from One Bills Drive. That is expected to come next Wednesday. The Fan 590 in Toronto is reporting that single game tickets will not be available for sale. CFL season ticket holders in Hamilton and Toronto will have first shot at buying the 8-game package priced at $250 per ticket. Then, Bills season ticket holders will have a shot through a lottery to purchase the remaining seats. halfsharkalligatorhalfman
if it ensures the team never leaves, i guess they'll deal with it
NJDevs4978
I don't know if it ensures the team never leaves, if anything they're basically testing the waters with one foot out the door or so it seems to me. Then again the Packers used to play a game or two a season in Milwaukee, thank goodness they stopped that dumb ritual.
Don
From what I am hearing, this is actually good news for Bills fans. The agreement prohibits the team from moving to Toronto within the next 5 years. So let's say the current owner keels over and dies tomorrow and the Toronto investors buy the team. By this agreement, the investors will be unable to move the team until 2013 at the earliest. Actually, the Toronto investors may not have the stomach to wait that long and pass on buying the Bills. Maybe another shot at Los Angeles?
