Devils Games via the Computer/Internet

Is it possible to watch televised Devils games via computer/internet in real-time? If so, how?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Comcast Cable is offering live streaming NHL games this season. Two games a night, I believe (?).

You may want to visit their website and learn more about it. My brother watched the Rangers/Canadiens telecast last night over his PC and said it was fantastic.

You have to be a customer. My bad. The article is as follows:

Comcast.net to Stream Live NHL Games

By Vito Forlenza, Comcast.net Sports Editor

October 04, 2005

This week, instead of playing the role of columnist, I feel inclined to offer you a letter from the editor. As Comcast enters its multiyear partnership between OLN and the NHL, I'd be remiss if I didn't tell you about a great new feature coming to Comcast.net. Wait, let me put my PR hat on...

Beginning with the start of the NHL season Comcast.net customers will be able to watch live hockey right from their desktops. We are making history in becoming the first and only broadband provider to stream live NHL games over the Internet.

Through this exclusive deal, we will bring you up to two games daily, right on though the Stanley Cup playoffs for a total of up to 300 games this season.

Below is our October schedule of live streaming games, which you can watch from our NHL channel. The only caveat is that the schedule is subject to change and that local blackout restrictions apply.

I hope you enjoy this exciting new feature. After you get a chance to try it out--free, I might add--you can send your thoughts to vitosview@comcast.net.

And that's what kills me about the Comcast/OLN thing.

Why can't anyone see the games streamed, if they are willing to pay for it ?

This sport is the most international of all the sports, but all you can see online is highlights at NHL.com (but for ONLY the previous date) and some freebies at OLNTV.COM.

That's progressive. NOT !

Some team websites also offer highlights, but there's not any easy portal that I know of where someone can watch the games/highlights in a stream.

Anyone else know something I do not ?

As soon I read this thread, I immediately got on the phone with my Mom (bill owner of our comcast internet back at home) and got all the info to create my own account on comcast.net so now I get to watch MORE hockey! Including tonight's Devs game! Yes!! Now I'm not stuck with just the boring Pitts announcers with Sidney Crosby's balls in their mouth making sure their nice and clean.

I just changed my address info to my current one here at PSU.  So maybe it will work now?  I doubt when I sign in to few the games it will go by the Primary Accounts address, right?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Im pretty sure... if it works, shout out, cause Id love to watch the game rather than a radio cast of it...
