Mike Brown
I''m hearing it's possible Marty St. Louis could headed to the Rags, but it's all speculation. St. Louis apparently is really pissed off at Yzerman. http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/showthread.php?t=1609683 http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/showthread.php?t=1610275

Muevelos
Doesn't have much resources, could be Buffalo maybe. Seems more logical. And if the Giradi deal is almost done, then yeah there's a good chance Ryans out. He doesn't. And if the Giradi deal is almost done, then yeah there's a good chance Ryans out. He doesn't. Yes he does. Boomer is very close to the Rangers organization. He called the Klein for MDZ trade before it was reported. Boomer definitely has his sources.
Onddeck
Very interesting. I'm keeping close attention to see how this evolves. Idk why they would trade their Captain for an old winner that will be making roughly the same salary as what Cally will be asking
Muevelos
That he did. But he doesn't have sources like a Pierre Lebrun does. That's all. Yes he does. Mike Brown
That he did. But he doesn't have sources like a Pierre Lebrun does. That's all. He has better sources than Lebrun especially when it comes to the Rags.
Muevelos
Wit the rags. That's it. It. Rags. It went be St. Louis either. And are you couting Boomers daughter dating Mat Martin as a source to? His sources aren't gold. He has better sources than Lebrun especially when it comes to the Rags.

Muevelos
As a ranger fan said, " he's a more accomplished Єklund (2.3% accurate)" He's called the Klein trade way before it was reported. Mike Brown
As a ranger fan said, " he's a more accomplished Єklund (2.3% accurate)" Except he's nothing like Єklund (2.3% accurate). Boomer has the same sources the TSN guys and then some. Boomer is as legit as they come.

Muevelos
He doesn't have the same sources as Lebrun. Maybe within the Rangers organization but that's as far as he goes. And take ST. Louis out, Boomer(if correct) said the ranger fans wouldn't like the return they'll be getting for him. And he also said Cally will be a rental and sign with Buffalo in Free agency. Cally already decided where he wants yo go after this team? Not buying this at all. Except he's nothing like Єklund (2.3% accurate). Boomer has the same sources the TSN guys and then some. Boomer is as legit as they come. Edited February 24, 2014 by CarterforPresident

Even Brooks chimed in about it. I think I know which tweet you're talking about, but he didn't say they wouldn't like the return. He said they might not like the trade initially. As good of a player MSL is, there are some valid reasons to not like the trade from Rags fan perspective.
Muevelos
Rangers would need to send more as well, that makes zero sense on Tampa's part. We'll see. cgb6397
Regardless of debating the legitimacy of Boomer's sources, I just don't see it happening.

Anyone know when teams can start trading again? Midnight tonight. The only logical explanation form Tampa would be that MSL demands a trade which is very feasible. He's made it clear from day 1 that he's quite unhappy with Yzerman.

Muevelos
Yeah your right, that's the only way. But he has a NMC he can dictate where he goes.rangers would need to send first I would guess? Marty is 38 and better then RC, and he's on a decline himself(RC). I'm choosing Ottawa or Columbus. Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie 1m NYR haven't, during OLY break, made any appreciable progress on new contracts for Ryan Callahan or Dan Girardi. Term still an issue on both. Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie 20s That said, at this time, NYR don't have anything imminent in terms of trade for either guy. Expect it all to play out over 7 to 10 days. Expand Midnight tonight. Mike Brown
McKenzie has to cover the entire league, and not just the Rags. And he's a reporter, not so much an insider. They're always the last ones to break this kind of news. Esiason is a legit insider. He has resources that TSN doesn't have.
Muevelos
He's more trustworthy league wide though. And the name every ranger fan is coming down too, is Ruutuu. Makes the most sense. According to what Boomer said that is. And whoever his source is, he had to be pissed. He's here playing guessing games on Twitter and driving fans all over the place... Actually interesting to watch. McKenzie has to cover the entire league, and not just the Rags. And he's a reporter, not so much an insider. They're always the last ones to break this kind of news. TheRedStorm
LOL, yeah this trade makes sense for either team. They're both going to be playoff teams in the same conference trading assets on this level with one another. Norman Esiason needs to think about that some more.
Muevelos
McKenzie's source are GM'S. Boomer is very close with Dolan. So there is something brewing in the Big Apple and he's turning it into a guessing game and trolling it lol. LOL, yeah this trade makes sense for either team. Muevelos
Their reporters are the most trusted and talk with GM's every other day. Boomer said his source, 9 out of 10 for trustworthiness, is a 9. If his source if Sather or Dolan it would be a 10, no? Exactly why I said he's playing games. It makes no sense, even with the tension between Steve and him. I doubt Steve spent the Olympic break doing deals back and fourth, even so, Marty is really close with Cooper. And why mess up that legendary talent alongside Stamkos going into the playoffs. Makes no sense.. You also have to understand TSN has everything to lose if they report something, and they're wrong. They're gonna wait until it's confirmed before reporting something. Edited February 24, 2014 by CarterforPresident
