Zubrus may just be a 3rd liner on other teams but not for this particular team, he is very important. Kovy was a beast for the 2011-2012 season, Elias was not better than him that year or this season. Where was Patty when Kovy got hurt for ten games? He got completely shutdown, he started to produce again when Kovy returned, it was not a coincidence. Yes Patty brings the two way game blah blah blah, but he was I am sorry but you are so wrong.s also completely shut down when Kovy was out. He had a stretch of like 2 assists in 33 games, Marty had the same in that stretch. Clarkson is the definition of inconsistency and is useless when he is not scoring. Thanks but just to defend Hedberg he made mistakes but there wasn't any defense or offense in front of him during that period while Marty was injured. When Marty came back he let in at least one softie per game usually early on. I do agree that the defense was weak in front of Marty as well and the offense didn't produce.
