Why not name it after someone involved with hockey...I mean it is an ice rink right? I think Lamoriello Arena would be a nice thank you, rather than a governor that probably doesn't know the first thing about hockey. I'd much rather honor LL than a politician in the naming of a hockey arena...but thats just me.

does anyone know where devs games are gonna be shown? probably a few are gonna be on msg, but other than that, is YES network the new FSNY?

The 32-year-old unrestricted free agent led the Lightning to the Stanley Cup in the 2003-04 season. "When we began this process, we targeted Nikolai Khabibulin and Adrian Aucoin as the two main players we wanted to sign," Blackhawks GM Dale Tallon said in a statement. "Not only did we accomplish our goal in signing these players, but we were also able to sign Martin LaPointe and Jaroslav Spacek. "Along with Jassen Cullimore, Matthew Barnaby, and Curtis Brown whom we signed last year we feel that we have really improved our team." During the lockout, Khabibulin played for Ak Bars Kazan in the Russian Elite League.

i don't think theres any sense in figuring out cap sums before a trade is made because honestly, i think its very naiive to believe that we're gonna start the season with the team we have now, and we have no idea who's gonna be traded where and to whom, so lets put money matters aside, just for a few days...or perhaps hours the way lou's acted today

honestly i don't care what lou does with hale as long as he's not in a devil's jersey this year. if he gets sent back down to albany thats cool...he's not ready for the nhl. maybe in a year or 2. but if we trade him in some kinda package i'm sure we could get something better for him.

I agree that Hale doesn't fit. (thank god) and that brown will go ( ) so the devs should have a pretty reliable defense for this year, esp. if stevens resigns

at least with the addition of mcgillis we don't have a tinyass team anymore...we can start to match up to the flyers sizewise

Terms of the deals were not disclosed. Rafalski and the Devils agreed on a one-year, $3.1 million US contract last August, a deal that was nullified with the cancellation of the 2004-2005 season. Rafalski, 31, has played his entire five-year career with the Devils, scoring 30 goals and 207 points in 377 games. He played in 69 games in 2003-2004, amassing six goals and 30 assists.
