I think it's a good start to turning things around in this last week and a half. I'd be more worried if we won 2-1 and looked like crap. We lost, it wasn't a bad loss. But the advantage here is that we played like a playoff team for three periods, and we're on a 5 game losing streak but we'll clinch the playoffs with a win or two in these last 5. But still ugh. But no not even that. We just need some edge to our play, right now you kind of expect them to lose, this team has a sort of week losing mentality writern all over it. Triumph Posted March 28, 2008 Share Posted March 28, 2008 How much unluckier can they get? They absolutely deserved this game - they outplayed the Rangers and they win on a goal off some guy's head. From the first two shifts of the game I said, 'There's no way the Devils lose this game', but somehow Sandis Backman finds a wrist shot and Dawes has one hit in off his misshapen simian head and it's a 3-2 L Love playing on the circus ice - you never know just who's going to fall down at the wrong time! Yeah, was kind of annoying to hear...but, after having heard it earlier this year from Isles fans as well, I've come to a realization that these are the kinds of things fans spew out when they've gone through 10+ years of horrible mediocrity, and having a regular season winning streak is pretty much all they can hang their hats on. That being said, this has all the possibility of being one of THE biggest chokes in the hockey world in recent memory....and there is nothing anyone can say that makes me feel otherwise.
