MadDog2020
Eichel is putting up cartoonish numbers for an 18 year old in college. Over 1.5 points/game, 3+ shots/game. I'm not saying he's better, but he seems really, really good also.I was reading a THN article earlier that quoted a scout saying that he's never seen a 1-2 like this. Eichel has had the word 'generational' used to describe his talents as well.

SterioDesign
Oh yeah? When are you visiting the US? Im not Eichel is joining the st john sea dogs in the Q after the world championship and hes playing against the wildcats in moncton (which is where i live) 3 times. St john, bathurst and halifax is also within a 2 hours drive if id want to see more games. Pretty pumped. thecoffeecake
Does anyone honestly think Edmonton, Arizona, or Carolina are skating worse rosters than ours every night? Because I certainly don't. I haven't been on the McDavid/Eichel bandwagon, nor will I be, but I honestly think this is the worst roster in the league. In the league around here they make it sound like its happening and on sportsnet too, then there was talks about getting him traded to the CHL which doesnt make sense? If its not happening well wtv i just wont see him thats it lol
Neb00rs
This shows you how little I know about junior hockey... I thought Eichel was a defenseman. If the Devils get him, he will be.
roomtemp
So educate me how is the draft outside of the top two? Stronger, weaker or the same outside of them?
Triumph
So educate me how is the draft outside of the top two? Stronger, weaker or the same outside of them? It's a very strong draft. Mitch Marner is putting up close to 2 points a game, so is Dylan Strome, and there's other elite talents at the top of the draft. It's not 2004 where there's Ovechkin, Malkin, and not much else. We should have a legit opportunity to draft an impact forward if we pick in the top 5 or 6.
SterioDesign
so we're 4 pts ahead of the Coyotes who's 28th and have 3 games in hand on us.... and there's 47 games left and we're not gonna get any better. so how is those 2 guys out of reach exactly? I wish i could say that you're out of your mind. But damn don't we all know that's what they'll do lol I swear i feel like the Devils are simply acting a script on how to get the fans frustrated as much as possible... That would require them actually making a coaching change first since Pete teams are clearly allergic to anything resembling a win streak. nessus
Svechnikov from Cap Breton is really good. Have you seen him play? He seems like one of the better Russian players coming through in the past few years. He's put up impressive numbers. I would like to see the Devils take a chance on him if the top few guys are off the table.

This team is now 9-17-6 since the 3-0 start, and there is absolutely nothing to suggest that they'll start winning at an improved pace...even if Cory kicks it up a notch and Glass Mike can find a way to stay in the lineup, they can't overcome all of the deadwood taking the ice. Can't seem them finishing outside the bottom five.

As much as I enjoy the Devils winning, a top 5 pick would be great and could do wonders

And when the team is healthy - if - they'll scrape out some wins.

Really love his play, + man he is big for a 18years old.
