Devils are the better team than Carolina as it showed in Games 1, 2-tough loss in OT, Game 3, 3rd period of Game 4 and it could have been a short series...but the Devils always do make it interesting. And I haven't said that every year we've had a 100+ point team, this year just feels like there should be more excitement to come. We've either dominated or played even with Carolina in every period but the first two tonight when they were clearly the more desperate team. We're the better five-on-five team, time to show it. No more luck nonsense. And oh yeah they still have to beat us one more time at home, where the crowd will be uber-intense for Game 5, and Game 7 should we need one. While home-ice hasn't been a big deal thus far I think they're on a mission to at least not get embarassed at home again after what happened last year. Looking back on all the first and second round losses over the years, I'd say for a large majority of them, we were the better team.
