Don
http://www.nj.com/devils/index.ssf/2013/04/devils_ilya_kovalchuk_bryce_sa.html Neither Kovalchuk (right shoulder) nor Salvador (right wrist) will play in tomorrow night’s game against the Philadelphia Flyers at Wells Fargo Center and it is not inconceivable that the team would consider shutting both down for the remainder of the season if they are mathmatically eliminated from playoff contention by the weekend. “I don’t know. I’m taking this day to day, literally,” coach Pete DeBoer said about the possibility of telling Kovalchuk he won’t play again this season. “I’m not looking beyond. He’s not ready for Philly. Let’s look at Florida (Saturday afternoon at Prudential Center).”
jagknife
I'd shut both down. Kovy is our heart and soul and we need him next year and for years to come. As for Bryce, no sense in risking an injury on a guy we're locked in for another 2 years.

SterioDesign
the way our season is going even getting Kovy wouldnt help... even if he would score a hat trick in every remaining games... the team would just adjust to it and give up 4 more extra goals
caron14
shutdown kovy and draft a top 3 prospect than come back next year with Kovalchuk, boucher and our draft pick in the team... make the playoff win 16 games in the playoffs and lift lord stanley in 2014 Edited April 18, 2013 by caron14

Lamoriello says Salvador will have his right wrist examined by a specialist but has not done so yet. There are no plans yet to shut Ilya Kovalchuk down. "He's trying," Lamoriello said of Kovalchuk's attempt to come back from shoulder injury. Edited April 18, 2013 by SterioDesign

While Montreal fans are not usually physical, they are about as obnoxious as Rags fans and run their mouths to no end. They are all a bunch of passive-agressive sh!theads. I'm with you on this one. I've never been to Montreal for a game but, I/M/O, the ones that travel here are some of the most disrespectful, obnoxious and rude fans I've ever met, which says a lot considering we often have Rags and Flyers fans in the building. Their air of entitlement and superiority (no matter how unwarranted) is particularly annoying. The only difference is, they aren't looking to start any physical confrontations in our building, which is nice.

A Devils fan friend of mine who lives in Montreal for the time being was sharing some of the ridiculousness he was seeing on his Facebook feed. One was like a humongous banner some Habs fan made commemorating Montreal's being in 1st place in the East (for like 4 days). Like, it must have taken days to make this thing, it had the logo and fire in the background, and a huge number 1 and date, it was embarrassing... While Montreal fans are not usually physical, they are about as obnoxious as Rags fans and run their mouths to no end. They are all a bunch of passive-agressive sh!theads. Exactly, this. I can handle the typical drunk Flyers fan with some sarcasm and wit, even the average annoying Rangers fan with wit and statistics, but I realized the weekend we played the Habs at home how ridiculous some of the Habs fans are when they're "on top". Otherwise, my experience with them in the past few years has always been positive, mainly because they weren't "on top"...
