  1. It seems as though BFett is gone, interestingly, whether he was Kyydax or not. Gone for the same reasons, methinks. I think that responding to thinly-veiled insults with the same is fair game.
  2. This is absurd. I know that Kyydax guy and while he can be a pain in the butt regarding Brodeur, to ban him and others because they don't tow the party line is a joke. Why would you want everybody to agree and have the same opinion? Where is the fun in that? "The Devils are great", "No man, the Devils are awesome!", "Man, I can't believe how great the Devils are.", "Wow, yeah you're right, the Devils are spectacular.", "Gionta is going to score 30+ goals", "Friesen will score 45 goals!", etc. Correct me if I'm wrong but people are free to use the 'Ignore' feature right? If someone doesn't want to read dissenting posts, they can ignore that particular poster. What is the point of the 'ignore' feature if posters are going to get kicked out because others don't like what they say? I know I don't post much, but I read alot. And there were some posts that got erased that had no business getting erased. As far as Kydax is concerned, he endured the brunt of the name-calling simply because some fans did not agree with his honest, and in some instances, accurate assessments. I'm curious as to why the posters that instigated the name-calling with Kydax were not kicked off as well? Hmmmm? It seems to me that he, and others that shared his view, were banned simply because they did not go along with the mainstream opinion of the board. I've even seen a few instances where some board regulars have even called for Kydax to come back because they were sick of the same old same old rah-rah stuff. Anyway, its just my opnion, but the board would be alot better for it if fans like Kydax were allowed to voice their opinions and if other fans that don't want to hear it, use the "ignore" feature, that's what it's there for. Also, the place is called "hell," which I thought implies a certain amount of free speech, for whatever that's worth. I thought it might be as open about language as the NY Times Devils board. Kyydax doesn't even use vulgarities or personally insulting language. I find it appalling, and I am certainly NOT Kyydax.
  3. hahah fools...obviously kyydax=bfett
  4. ESPN picked the story up from the NY (com)Post
  5. funny I've never seen Brylin get the snot knocked out of him in the Stanley Cup finals. There are FEW players tougher for their size than Brylin.
  6. GetReal: GET REAL. Either you are a very new Devils fan or just don't pay attention. How could you say that Gomez is not a first line player? There isn't a team in the league that wouldn't take him and put him with their biggest gun. Elias needs to snap out of it, and that's all there is. He was a scorer before the A line, and he'll have to be one post A line. Triumph makes good sense here - give it time, we're leading the division, for Pete's sake. I am distressed about Nieuwendyk too, but he's got to come around, he hasn't looked horrible by any stretch.
  7. it COSTED you $300. You deserve to get ripped. I went there last year (back end of a home-and-home) and the tickets were $50 US or so and lower portion of the upper bowl at ACC. How could your tickets cost more than your flight!?
  8. Let's not forget Niedermayer's decapitation being called a 2-minute cross check (which wouldn't have been called at all if Niedermayer hadn't attacked Primeau). Oh, and you had to love the non-call against Bertuzzi on his tying goal. Cross-checking/hitting from behind/interference? You take your pick, nope. Can't wait to see what happens when whining Mario and the Pens come to town tonight. Just a royal screwing, night in and night out. It is a MIRACLE we're in first place (not to mention, Nieuwendyk and Elias not scoring).
  9. 7 why don't you go to a game, if you're so concerned? Frankly, I don't have the money to go to that many games. PLUS they were playing a BORING Carolina team on a rainy/snowy Tuesday. SOME of us work, I know that's a strange concept for you.
  10. Well, After 3 weeks (and only 8 games, in the Devils' case), the NHL ref's close calling of obstruction rules is over. If any of you, and I'm sure '7' wasn't, was at the game last night, you could see the checks away from the puck, the stick-holding, the hooking. Patrik Elias was hooked on his breakaway. It was disgraceful. Granted, the Devils went 0-5 on the PP, but they should have been awarded 5 more. Would they have scored? Who knows, but when you play every 3-5 days I guess the PP can get rusty.

    Metro

believe me, the cable company doesn't miss your $35 monthly, or take note WHY you don't order their premium services. Phone calls and emails are the only way they become aware. I agree with the old adage "hit em in the wallet," but I think in the case of conglomerates, it takes an all or nothing effort. One person does not a difference make.
  12. amen -- trade him for a bag of pucks. Better yet, the rangers may want to pick him off waivers and sign him to a $9mil/per contract.
  13. it's "Gherkin," and do you have a thing for men with bad hairpieces?

    Metro

Glad you're happy because you get Metro, most people DON'T. This makes no sense, either. FSNY carries 60 games, metro 21. Wouldn't you rather see MORE games, with quality production and camera-work (metro's horrible for this)? Just because you're too CHEAP to get FSNY, don't tell outraged fans, who will miss 25% of the games on TV that you're 'sick' of the topic. Maybe the heading should be "Scott Stevens." Everyone who is unhappy with the metro channel should let them know. Devils fans should not be pawns in a war between Dolan and Steinbrenner.
