waynec1969
Just wondering if anyone collects and trades hockey cards.
Random Poster
I do. I was a card dealer for 5 years, but thankfully got out of that mess. I still have some nice cards i kept including my PSA 8 OPC Gretzky RC, PSA 8 Bourque RC, PSA 9 and 10 Score Brodeur RC's, Topps Roy RC's, 85-86 Topps Lemieux PSA 8. I kept thousands of factory fresh single Topps cards from 84-85 to 86-87 from case breaks and complete sets of Topps from 84-85 to 88-89. I also have a mixed box tht has various RC's and singles in it. Been so long i looked, i cant really tell what's in it. I have a "for sale or trade" 5,000 count box of Devils RC's, autos and jersey cards from 82-83 to 09-10. I kept my own separate "master set" for photomatching/referencing game used items which includes singles, oddballs, team sets from Topps, OPC, Upper Deck, Pacific, Fleer from 82-83 to 09-10 as well as jersey cards, rookies and autos. Random Poster
Wow, you've got some awesome cards! Do you ever do any card shows or have a list of your cards? It is all for sale at great prices except for a few graded cards (Gretzky, Brodeur 10) and my Devils Master Set! If you are looking for anyone in particular or have interest in the above, just shoot me a PM! I still do a few shows here and there, some large some small, but the show circuit pretty much crashed in NJ from when i was into it from 01-05. Shows just aren't profitable anymore thanks to eBay. I loved doing it, but alot of the NJ malls i did and had good weekends don't do shows anymore, either. Sadly, i think the card show is a thing of the past aorund here. waynec1969
The Tuesday PAL show in Parsippany is a shell of it's former self. It's about 30% of what it was 10 years ago. Lately I've been using it to pick up base cards for my daughter. I personally collect Devils cards (current rookies, game used, autos) and pick up stuff for friends (currently looking for Tavares and Ovechkin). I have a list of Devils rookie cards I need, so I'll PM that to you in the next few days!
waynec1969
By the way, I have a subscription to Beckett's online priceguide, so if anybody needs/wants a current value I can look it up.

waynec1969
Had the pleasure of doing an in person trade with unknown poster last weekend @ the Ledgewood Mall. Picked up a couple of Brodeur jersey cards, a Scott Stevens autograph, some rookie cards I needed for sets and a Beanie Baby my daughter wanted. Thanks Ken! DevsMan84
I used to collect hockey cards back in the early 90's and still have a few like Brodeur's and Owen Nolan's rookie cards. I may or may not sell them but not exactly sure. I also found some really old cards that my grandfather gave me a few years ago, but they are mostly older baseball cards. I'm willing to sell some of those if anyone wants and if the price is right. He told me one in particular is pretty valuable, and I guess since I'm not into baseball im willing to part with it. It looks really old, and has a guy with a jersey on for Pittsburgh. The name on the bottom says "Wagner Pittsburgh" and on the back looks like an ad for a cigarette company. I'm willing to part with it for $20.
waynec1969
If you have something valuable and legit, you should it up on ebay. As for Brodeur rookies, I live by the axiom, "You can never have enough Brodeur rookie cards".
