Translated this for my blog: http://numerartovertag.wordpress.com/2014/06/04/adam-larsson-interview-on-nj-saik-and-shl/

Most interesting bits:

Since a few weeks back Adam is back home in Skellefteå, and the question many are asking is where he plays hockey in the fall.

- I had a great talk with the Devils before I left and they’d come back to me in a few weeks.

What are you hoping for when they do come back to you?

- Obviously it’s a one-way deal I want, that’s my goal.

What do you say about the SHL and a possible comeback in Skellefteå AIK?

- Well, that’d been a lot of fun, I’m not closing any doors at all, says Adam Larsson and continues:

- But I’m not going to decide anything until the Devils come back to me. After that we’ll see what happens.

Has SAIK been in touch with you?

- Yeah I’ve been to their office and spoken to them but not more than that.

Meanwhile, in Tedenby Land...appears he's KHL-bound.

http://numerartovertag.wordpress.com/2014/06/05/tedenby-on-lemaire-deboer-future-in-khl/

On average, he played 10 mins per game in the NHL.

- I didn’t get ice time that you can do much with. But still, it went alright. I wish we’d played a style of hockey that’s a bit more fun. We’re playing pretty defensive hockey, but it is what it is, says Tedenby about the philosophy of coach Peter DeBoer.

- My first year wasn’t like that. Coach Lemaire liked me. After that it’s been so-so.

Tedenby is back home in Sweden and his contract is about to expire. From New Jersey it’s been quiet  since the season ended. Tedenby’s eyes have turned towards the KHL.

He has a contract proposal from the KHL where Atlant hold his rights.

Or maybe he should realize that he was ass on both ends of the ice and when he wasn't committing an defensive gaffe he was just skating circles around the play but never really getting involved.

I hope now this can finally put to bed any lingering Devils fans feelings towards him actually being a full time NHLer.  I still hear and see other Devils fans actually thinking he was screwed over by the team and that he is a better forward than what he really is.

He's still relatively young, but it sounds like he hasn't reached the "Maybe it's actually ME" stage yet.  He wasn't very good in the NHL and he wasn't very good in the AHL either (126 GP, 28 G, 38 A, 66 Pts).  It could be that he's just not very good.

His AHL numbers are what stand out to me. In the NHL he showed some flashes that might make you think that he was a great player who was being misused (or just who hadn't developed his all-around game enough yet). But if he was as good as he seemed (or as we hoped), he should be lighting up the AHL by now. He either lacks the talent or the drive, but he simply doesn't seem like he's going to make it as an NHL player. Too bad, because he does have some skills that are above-average NHL quality or possibly even elite level. Too many holes in his game though.

19 points in 33 games, as well as praise for the coach about his defensive play. He'll be an NHL defenseman.

EDIT: sorry, thought you were talking about Larsson

Can't blame him. You aren't wrong, but I think he said a lot of innocent stuff. He didn't really get a look this season at all, but his AHL numbers said it all. A promising NHL start under Lemaire and absolutely sh!t all under Deboer.

Shame about him. He had a skill set that was different than many Devils forwards usually drafted. I remember him wowing with some incredible World Junior goals and plays.

Thanks Marshall.

Recall him absolutely undressing a couple defenders on his own in one game. Might have been against Slovakia? My memory isn't that great and that was a few years ago now.

Edit: Yep, it was Slovakia. Here it is:

One reason I was so stoked about him, and really stuck with the hope he was going to start producing, but that ship has sailed, quite literally.

Who is the Slovakia goalie there...is it Hugh?

For fvcks sake if Larsson leaves, I give up.  Honestly.

But for the record, he's an RFA unlike what that article says.

Edit:  I don't think there's any merit to these rumors.  I'm just saying - I'm so used to players fleeing that this wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if it somehow came true.

For the record, if he did go to Sweden for a year or two does that put him closer to NHL UFA or is his FA clock frozen once he goes overseas?  I mean if he's going to get peanuts here and hardly play I could hardly blame him for going over there, getting paid and playing especially if he can lop off RFA years.

i do not like this at all - even the discussion on it. maybe it's posturing by his agent to make sure he gets a one way deal with some $ - i hope that's all it is.

i'm not saying adam larsson is the greatest thing ever, but if he went and played in the SEL next year, it would just be another signal that the devils handled his early nhl career terribly.
