Hey guys and gals, there is now a Kovalchuk vs Parise poll at TSN, they have a bracket type poll with 16 players that will eventually go down to the best vs the best NHL player, its been up for a few weeks, maybe you all know about it, anyway, make sure you vote for Kovy !!

haha Devils fans out in full force on this one, Ilya's trouncing Zach. I think the press conference photo helps make the decision easier..

Found this on the Wild's site. Nothing terribly interesting from a workout standpoint, but it's funny that Zach is wearing brand new Devils gloves to go along with the new Easton stick. Also, he works out in the same group as Bryce. I would imagine that they're close friends, but it's still gotta be a little weird for Sal.

Nah, I've heard of Devils players working out with Rangers players during summer, also Zubrus used to practice with Stephan Matteau's son years before Stef was drafted by the Devils. It's not like Sal is a born and raised Devil either. There are rivalries that translate into players' attitude towards each other, but most of the time, they don't look at that kind of stuff nearly as fanatic as the fans, they switch teams and they understand when someone leaves their club (nonetheless, I'm sure they are always disappointed when a star bolts someplace else).

I'm positively surprised by some of the scores there (Datsyuk crushing Lundqvist and now Kovy owning Parise) - I thought it would just end up being a popularity contest. Some of the matchups, however, seem weird and there is no real criteria in this thing and no reason why some players are paired (Kovalchuk/Parise or Weber/Suter makes perfect sense, but comparing Quick to Nash or Chara to Spezza makes me scratch my head). It's not like they are comparing players from the same country, same position or even close age group. Nevertheless, some of that stuff is interesting.

73% to 27%

Not that any fan's opinion matters more than anyone else's, but..if we had to pick a superstar player to keep of the two, the Devils made the right decision.

Anyone else have a feeling the Devils will make a push to get Malkin when/if he becomes a FA (I think at the end of this season)? Definitely wishful thinking on my part, but Malkin seems to be good friends with Kovy and I think they put on the Lokomotiv benefit game together a few weeks ago. Now (apparently) they're DP'ing some nasty chick that looks like she belongs in the Russian version of Robert Palmer's "Addicted to Love" video.

In my dreams I can see Kovy trying to recruit him over to the Devils.

Absolutely no chance. They're all friends with one another. Zach is bff with Salvador, and see where that got us.

Hello fellow American. This you should vote me. I leave power. Good. Thank you, thank you. If you vote me, I'm hot. What? Taxes, they'll be lower... son. The Democratic vote is the right thing to do Philadelphia, so do.

If some billionaire acquires the team, sure

The Pens won't let Malkin go though.

Agreed. With Crosby being a question mark and every pens fan holding their breath after every check he takes from now until retirement, I would think Pittsburgh is going to put most of their energy keeping malkin.
