Marty was less than a minute away from 3 straight shut outs...

Hah, well at least Marty has been playing well in this stretch to the playoffs. Anyway, the Devils played a really sound game against the Canes. They also played a sound game yesterday, but the Hawks had luck go their way in the end.

Its plainly obvious to me that the Devils domminated tonight because I was 4 miles from the friggen RBC Centre attending my nephew's baptism (which the priest at the church demanded be during the Easter Vigil instead of regular Easter Mass on Sunday. Hell I even got caught in some of the post-game traffic leaving the church in Raleigh. This type of sacrifice demands that nothing short of the Cup should come Jersey's way this post season.

Sounds like the Devils and Marty pulled out a can of whoop ass tonight. Nice way to start out the southern swing.

saturday night has a lot to do with it i think.

Well our last two wins have come on Saturday night.

I know what you meant but you have to compare it with other game threads of losses on Saturday, like the lousy games against the Isles or Blues early in March. I don't know how long those game threads were Or the Ranger game in February.

Until proven otherwise I still say people'll find a way to be around for the doom and gloom if the team loses, whatever day it is.

how could they only win this game 4-0? (really 3-0, considering). they hate hockey and they want to lose, bottom line. i don't want to say i was the first one who called their inevitable first round failure, but i was the first one, and they will fail.

he actually said they were playing well when i called him during the second. he used his patented "don't be fooled" line.

Haha, Triumph sarcastically trying to sound pessimistic just doesn't seem right...
