JWomp
Don't get a Pando...you can easily snag one for half price this summer. Your best bet is probably Clarkson, Hedberg, or Arnott (I've had my eye on that Arnott for a while...I need it to complete my A-Line of game worn jerseys haha). Really, it all comes down to the players you like the most.

However, that Rasmussen is pretty tempting. I will ask you again about that one within the next month or two (def before Christmas) to see if it is available and if I have the funds. There is a good chance I might take it as I tend to get extra cash around this time of the year. Also didn't you used to have a Daneyko GW (preseason I believe)? I take it that you sold it? DevsMan84
Looks like from what I am seeing from various collectors is that a large portion of them are returning the jerseys they received from the Meigray grab bag. I have to admit this was genius of them. It seemed from my perspective that their summer sale was not as successful this years as in years past and now they just got $35,000 in a couple of weeks from this grab bag. Plus with the credit that has to be used up by the end of the year and very few jerseys on their site are below $350, it looks like they are primed to make even more money this holiday season. Genius.

JWomp
Nope, too pressured with time and everything. Not sure what to do with it now though haha You have until October 31 to return it. Just throw it in a Priority Mail box (use the pay-by-weight box, not the flat rate) and it will only cost you $5-$6.

After selling many jerseys over eBay I quickly learned that unless you have a ton of jerseys it is a waste to use the flat rate box. Just think, between the initial shipping, return shipping, and then shipping for the new jersey, that is going to be at least $45 in shipping costs. Meigray is making a killing on these. Also don't forget the 7% sales tax to NJ residents. Another small price to pay to have Meigray in our own backyard.
DevsMan84
Anyone know where I could get an NJ Outlaws jersey? I figure not too many people bought them last year and now that they moved they are impossible to get it seems. Thanks!
DevsMan84
Looking around IceJerseys I came across this: http://www.icejerseys.com/item_details_simple.php?id=12317 I know it is a Rags jersey and that IJ is just copy and pasting what Reebok gave them as a description but do they really think people will fall for that? The striping is not even close!
Cachorro Louco
Well my Devils Jersey Collection right now is limited to two pieces: A Red Home Jersey Replica i got in 2009, on my second game at the rock, and then in 2010 i customized the jersey with Clarkson number. The other jersey i got is the trowback jersey, that still blank but i will costumized either with elias or brodeur number. So nothing really "special"to show... so will be posting pictures of my jersey soccer collection in total i have four jerseys, all from the team Atlético Paranaense. So this is a commemorative jersey to celebrate the would 100 years of Internacional Football Club the team that originated Atletico Paranaense The striped red and white pattern on the jersey was the original design of Internacional Jersey in 1912, the red on the shirt represents Atlético Paranaense A close up of the crest , and just bellow it says "100 Years" with the two zeroes forming the infinity symbol celebrating the longevity of Atletico Paranaense, it also was writing in red because Red and Black are the colors of Atletico Paranaense. The Back of the jersey...on top of the shirt there is the current crest of Atletico Paranaense. A close up on the crest on the back . Inside of the shirt there is plaque with the history of the clubs, it reads : " The international Football club was founded in 1912. in 1914 a group decides to spun off from international football Clube to form América Football club. In 1924 the presidents of both International and America decides to join forces to create a more competitive club From the Fusion of both teams Atlético Paranaense was created, who in gratitude of this feat makes this homenage of the 100 th anniversary of the club that it was create from" Also the plaque has all three crest of all 3 teams. International on top, América on the Left , and Atlético on the right Also if you guys noticed on the black stripes there are images printed on, that is quite an elaborated design in there, to better show that feature, heres a promotional flyer. I forget to mention before a very important fact about International Football Club, it was founded primarily to be a club of all ethnics... Before International the City of Curitiba had a football Club for every group of immigrants, there were clubs only for the Portuguese, other Clubs only for Ukrainians or Polish and so on, International set itself to break this pattern. Every little image on the Design is there, for a reason either about the history of the club or tribute to the immigrants that formed the team. Here is a list of what the designs represents: º There is the soccer ball for obvious reasons. º The wind wheel represents the Dutch immigrants. ºThe hurricane symbol is there because of Atletico Nickname "The Hurricane " Nickname received in the 1949 state championship, Atletico Had such a strong team that out 12 games won 11, the only game they lost was the last one, and was played only to fufill schedule since they clinched the Championship two games prior. ºJust below that there is the State of Paraná map , inside the map there is the Araucaria Pine Tree, the tree is thesymbol of the state of Paraná ºBelow that we have Seigaha patterns representing the Japanese immigrants. ºThe colonial house represents the Germans immigrants. ºOn the side side of the house the columns Represents the spaniards. ºBelow that we have the Pysanka pattern representing the ukrainians ºOn the left side of the Pysanka there is Wycinanki patterns representing the Polish ºOn the right side the Pattern Resembling a "C" Represents the Italians ºThe Drapery represents all european immigrants. ºThe Ship remembers the long voyage from Europe to Brazil, the people represents the different types of immigrants ºBelow the ships there is the Patterns used in tradicional Portuguese tiles, to represents the Portuguese immigration. Thats all for now i will take more pictures of the rest of the shirt in the coming days.

DevsMan84
These grab bags are considered gambling according to law. Unless you're licensed or non-profit (church, think raffles), grab bags are illegal in the state of NJ. I think they avoid the gambling issue by stating that in the grab bags the worst you can get is your money back in these grab bags while casinos and lottery you can easily lose your money. For instance the last $350 grab bag the worst you can get is either a jersey valued at $350 (even though we all know most of those lesser jerseys are not really worth that much in the open market) or a $350 credit to meigray. Since you technically do not "lose" then I think it is not counted as gambling. Same type of rule applies to those kiddie casinos/arcades on the boardwalk where you get tickets and redeem them for prizes.

That's a good point, but I think it's still the spirit of gambling as it's a game of chance. You are still vying for an advertised bigger prize or prizes. No one really loses in a grab bag as you do win something, it's that you're gambling that you'll win the big prize.

Oh it definitely is in the spirit. Just like my example of those kiddie casinos on the boardwalk, you are pumping in money to get tickets in return and then redeem those for prizes. The more tickets you have the bigger the prize and to get tickets you need to pump in more money. What keeps those open is that you technically do not lose at all, but we all know the amount of tickets needed and the money spent on getting the tickets are always way more than what the prize is worth. It's a little loophole they exploit.
