Not if your goal is actually giving the top players rest. You need real hockey players to do that, otherwise you might as well just not show up. And the Devils need to win some of these games first of all to take 'any' drama out of the final couple of weeks, not to mention staying above 7-8, or they have next to zero chance in the first round.
