Went to Miami U site and found jerseys with no lettering. #1... can anyone direct me to a site where i can buy one with lettering. #2. devilsfan26 Posted November 14, 2007 Share Posted November 14, 2007 I'm pretty sure nobody is licensed to put a real player's name on NCAA jerseys, so you will not find a place selling them already customized. However, if they do not know that it is a real player, they will customize it for you. Some don't care and just claim to not know that it was an actual player and do the customization anyway, so it shouldn't be hard once you find the jersey you can just find somewhere that does lettering for those jerseys and send the jersey to them. IAmCanadian27 Posted November 14, 2007 Share Posted November 14, 2007 I had the same sort of problem when I found a cheap, uncustomized University of Minnesota jersey and wanted to find a way to get Paul Martin's name on it. I e-mailed a couple sites who advertised jersey customization and asked if they could do college jerseys too. Only one said yes, CoolHockey.com. The only thing was they had me e-mail pictures of what the lettering looks like, which was no biggie as I had a bunch from the Gophers site. I sent them the Minnesota jersey and also a Team USA jersey to be customized and they did a good job with both of them. But that being said, I saw RD started a thread on the second page of this section about her bad experiences with CoolHockey and a few others chimed in. So maybe I just got lucky. After reading their bad reviews I might be wary to go with them again, but at the time they were the only place I could find to do college jerseys. gionta182 Posted November 14, 2007 Share Posted November 14, 2007 This was years ago, but I bought a couple of college jerseys and mailed them to Frozen Pond (frozenpond.com) in Ontario and they did a fantastic job personalizing my BC jersey for Gionta and my UofM jersey for Morrison. You just have to talk to them on the phone and be specific about what color the numbers and letters are, including if they're, say, maroon with white and gold trim, and whether the letters need the trim or just the numbers. I don't know about getting it back in time for Christmas but the time I had to wait was reasonable considering it was going out of the country. The jerseys came out gorgeous though. It was worth it.
