Devil Fan
Key games: 1). Florida (@Washington) needs one point or more to settle as the 3rd seed 2). Buf @ Philly. Flyers need one point or more to freeze the Devils at sixth 3) Jersey @ Wings. A Jersey loss = 6th is ours
David Puddy
And we're locked into 6th now. The Caps are looking good to win, so the only question is who will finish 3rd...
Z-Man
Ottawa can still finish 8th and play the Rangers with: - At least one point by Florida - A win by Washington - A Devils win over Ottawa in regulation

nessus
This is killing me! Time to root for the Rangers next game. Rangers should beat the Caps, potentially playing for the Presidents' Trophy, and hopefully Florida still has something in them to beat Carolina in a game that means almost nothing to them. Florida doesn't even need to win- they just need a point and they wrap up the division, regardless of what Washington does.
devilsrule33
Exactly...Ottawa is going to come at us on Saturday. Sens dominated Rangers all year and have been dominated by the Bruins all season. I know regular season records don't mean, but I thin they feel much more comfortable going against NY...as prob a lot of teams would. Devil Fan
If the Devils beat the Sens on Saturday, thy will be the hottest team going into th playoffs (7 straight wins).
Triumph
Victory! Might still face the Caps, but hey, the Devils did their job, and gifted the Panthers plenty of points besides.
moustic
Gimme Cats Gimme Caps ! I don't care ! Gimme Playoff Hockey !
Jas0nMacIsaac
Victory! Might still face the Caps, but hey, the Devils did their job, and gifted the Panthers plenty of points besides. NJ's personnel matches up well against Washignton. They are talented enough to refuse to dump and chase. Because of this these lose playoff style hockey. Mayday
Now we just have to watch Washington/Florida in their final games I guess.
Risky
I like the Washington matchup for us. We can beat them, and probably handily.
David Puddy
The Caps may go into the playoffs with an AHL goalie... which for most teams would be good news, but I'm sure he'll stand on his head if he plays the Devils.
Devil Fan
Ottawa might want to tank the last game in order to avoid the Bruins. Sens have more success against the Rags in the regular season than the B's.
iamtheprodigy
Well, it's all locked in. #3 Florida Panthers will be #6 New Jersey Devils' first victims.
thelastonealive
We wanted it. We got it. Now let's not waste it.
