New Jersey Devils Jerseys

Saw this on another site and I hope that sooner than later the Devils decide to do this.

Make sure you click on the Brian Gionta video at the bottom right of the page.

There are too many fakes at games. Let's end this and clean up our team. Hey Lou Lamoriello, maybe you can do something right this season!

What is the point of this thread? I'll take a stitched sweatshop jersey over a more expensive replica that will fall apart and look like crap. Even cheaper is to get a player shirt and get it on sale.

Also,

TRADE IN YOUR COUNTERFEIT JERSEY

BEFORE JUNE 15, 2010

Little late to the game are we?

The point is to be ethical. If you would like to support, organized crime (or crime in general), and/or child labor, then just say so. Are you a thief? I guess so with your comment.

I don't own any NHL jerseys at the moment because the NHL is a fvcking con artist. $130 for a replica jersey is murder. At least the fake ones are sewn on rather than glued which look like sh!t. Also, the fake for our team don't even look bad. All stitched jerseys get messed up when you watch them and put them in the dryer. Anyways, go support the team with buying over priced jerseys. I'll stick to the tickets, hats, and shirts.

I'd love to know where the "ethics" come into play for paying three times as much for a jersey in the team store, to have the letter BARELY pressed on by a cheap iron I wouldn't press my suit with the two times a year I wear it....when I can one from China that looks and feels the same to me.....

but it's ok to rip someone off as long as it's "official" I guess :noclue:

I don't disagree. They do a horrible job at the Devils team store. If they are going to charge that price, the product needs to be superior.

I think the point of the site was to let people know they are BUYING a knock off. For Hurricane1091 and Adam85491, it would be like choosing a hot girl and your mom to go out with. Now we know your Mom is an inferior product, so why would you want that. So what would you rather have hanging off your arm: A hot girl one of these guys' moms with their snaggletooth, 80's big hair, and big fat arse?

They would choose their mom. No question.

What a terrible analogy. At least my mom is not a spoiled Bitch golddigger who always ask for more money. Sure the hot girl looks good, but deep down you know she is ripping you off while sleeping with the pool boy. This is how I feel when I get an official jersey from the nhl with official iron on crap lettering and spending over 130 on it.

Cool sh!t with the personal insults. You're a bigger man than I am, right?

I have a stitched authentic jersey and a sweatshop jersey, and it doesn't matter to me which one I wear because they both have the NJD logo on them. Wear red and go to games (and tickets benefit the team far more than clothing sales do) is what I do, and if you feel the need to stoop low and make dumb comments like that, then be my guest.

At the end of the day the OP posted a link from last year for an offer that is no longer valid, and for some reason, is offended by how other people spend their money. Get a life, stop worrying about what other people wear.

Man by the looks of that link there it is so noticeable between the real and the fake jerseys. I have seen some nasty fake jerseys and don't understand how anyone could even wear them. To each is own preference here. Me personally would never wear the fakes. Those there on that link are just terrible.

A few things...

1. Spend your money how you want.

2. I am 10000000% for contacting the Devils and telling them how bad their jerseys are produced and priced in the team store. I have been a ridiculous whiney bitch to them this year but they actually correspond with me on a regular basis for my opinions so I could probably get them to at least listen.

3. More message board drama. Take it to PMs. This is a decent topic to discuss without insulting each other and bringing in hypothetical moms (not valid without pics.)

You're such a dumbass OP. I don't have a knock off jersey, yet you include me in your retarded analogy. I refuse to pay $130 for a sh!tty ass glued jersey. I do own a jersey, it's made by Lutch.

You really need to learn context. Badly.

He was using the site as an example of what the Devils could/should do. It has nothing to do with it being valid or from last year.

If the NHL (and all pro sports leagues) didn't charge so much for the licensing fees, or the companies didn't bid so much for the licensing fees, their wouldn't be a market for bootleg jerseys. Most of the time, the bootlegs look just as good. Certain teams are hard to bootleg, Devils have a unique font for their numbers, Rangers a have the drop shadow and the arched name, making the bootlegs fairly obvious. Same for all other teams with unique numbers think: steelers, texans, etc. Any 2nd year fashion student can look at a jersey, go to a fabric store, buy the materials and make a bootleg jersey.
