Game Deals -The 2013 Tix Deals thread--

Devils Pride 26

They honestly might have a good enough crowd tomorrow to announce another sell out. This nor'easter on Saturday better not mess with the streak!

While the impending snow storm on Saturday will cause a number of fans to pass on going to the game, it already is a sellout with tickets sold according to the team.   That will allow them to keep the streak alive from a marketing perspective, and the refund to ticketholders (the team usually gives everyone with a ticket to the option of going to another game later in the season for free) for that game will help the "attendance" for other games in March or April.

The boycotting the league threats were at best halfway serious and I would say over 90% of those who said they would boycott came back immediately.  I think that if the season was completely cancelled there would be more people who would have went through with their threat.  The NHL was right again and will always be right on this.  We are gluttons for punishment.

Also I just got a $38 100-level ticket for the game on Tuesday that includes a hot dog and a drink.  I also never purchase merchandise at the arena and honestly I do not know many people who actually do given their prices.  Therefore other than their share of the parking they are not making a whole lot on me and others like me.  I am not complaining as it is great on my wallet but I am not going to get carried away about this "sellout streak"

Be honest though...the Devils have had these ticket deals for every season they've played at the Rock (and for a # at the CAA before that).  Whether it is LivingSocial, Working Advantage, Plum Benefits, NJ Public Employees, Prudential Employee, or other numerous discounts they have given on tickets, this is the first season that these deals have resulted in "sellouts" on a nightly basis.  It could be the result of having a compressed scheduled due to the lockout, but its a good thin nonetheless.

EDIT:  I totally didn't see the exchange you had with NJDEVS4978 before I posted.

But really, who cares how the Devils get fans in the stands.  The only ones that have any reason to gripe would be STH's who may have trouble reselling their tickets due to being undercut with these deals.  As long as the place is packed and loud (as it has been all season thus far), that's all I really want.

Yeah I mean I am not arguing that there has always been these ticket deals, but what I am saying is that they never had this level of ticket deals.  I mean right above there is a link posted for $75 clubs.  The cheapest I remember them offering in other seasons was $125.  They also never had lowers for $30, 100's for $20 and 200's for $10 each.

This is why I am not making a big stink over this sellout streak.  Next season when the deals will most likely go back to how they have normally been will be the true test.

There is the groupon deal that I have someplace but can't find the link right now.

There is also college night for $20 uppers or $35 if you want 100 level.  Each ticket comes with food and beverage card.  Not sure how much though.  No Password but need to be on college night list.

It would suck to see this thread die out in Marketplace. When it comes to Devils tickets, I think people mostly go to Marketplace when they are either looking to buy tix or they are looking to sell their own extra tickets. Rarely will someone go there just to post deals offered by the Devils. And those are exactly the types of deals a lot of people are interested in.

It has to be community driven, one person who updates the list will just get burned out. I am not going to pin this in Hell, there is a reason for the sub forums. Going to Marketplace is one scroll down, It shouldn't be that hard to get to.

But that will waste 30 seconds more of my day...

Does anyone have a link they didn't get through their Devils account? Because both links I've seen in this thread have then asked me for other people's passwords or asked me to log in. Then the one link in here that led me to a point where it asked me to create one, lacked the boxes it told me to create the account in. I feel a little dumb.

Nice but you have to truncate the links a bit. They are linked to your email address. Basically delete eveything after the 3 digit group number. That gives it the public link then you just need to enter the code: devils

I wasn't on the email list for the college night game on the 12th, so I guess I'm sol on this unless I can find a buddy that was. Oh well, I see there's tix on stubhub for like $22, so it's no huge loss.

Edit: Does anyone know if sth are automatically allowed to access those deals? If so, that would make my life easier.

College Night they seem more restrictive.

I think they are separate entities. These are group sales.
