eaglejelly
Most of you probably don't care about it this year as it is an all German event. For me as a German native it’s obviously the opposite. For me Bayern München is the Bundesliga equivalent of the NY Rangers. I despise them with all my heart and I will be rooting heavily for Dortmund.Having said that, Bayern has been so dominant on all levels this year, it would be a big surprise if they didn't win it decisively, especially with Götze out of the lineup. thefiestygoat
I'll be pulling for Dortmund and I was actually cheering for an all German final during the semifinals since I can't stand Spanish football. Sucks that Götze is out...especially with the story line of how he will be on Bayern next year. I expect Bayern to win but I won't count out Dortmund...hoping for a game that provides some drama. TSN had this fantastic article on how Germany turned around their whole football program after 1998 and now they are reaping the benefits of their work. iceowl14
Bit of a late post, but what a match it was. When I was in school there was a German native who was a teaching assistant. He loved football so we took him to a Wednesday match, and being from Munich he was a Bayern Munich fan, so I was hoping for them to win. ...which they did haha. German football is really good to watch, much different to the English game; much more organised and flowing football. Champions League was being dominated by English and Spanish clubs the past few years...maybe now is the time for the German teams to really stake their claim.
