Pretty interesting, nothing major though. N But on a negative note. Why do some people always have to lie about sellouts. I realize he is a politician, and thats what they do, but there is a part with Mayor Booker talking about the nets playing in Newark. He is trying to play it up by saying the nets sold out 2 preseason games at The Rock last year. Now come on. As I remember it, almost all the tickets were given away, and it was still maybe just over half full. What is the deal with that. It makes no difference to anyone if they sold out or if you just said they played 2 games there. And The Devils are guilty of this also. I've been to games that were full but not a sell out. 90% full is not sold out. And don't tell me that groups of 50 or more in every other section all bought tickets and didn't show up. The Nets did give those tickets away and the Devils are one of the biggest culprits when it comes to fudging the books when it comes to sellouts. I know the Devils follow the rules that it is a sellout if every ticket is sold, but that should be banned in the NHL. I too have been to games where it is even 85% full and they list it as a sellout. Well the people who had tickets but didn't show (STH most likely) are mostly corporate people and this hurts the devils as there are less people buying concessions, souvenirs, etc. The NHL should have a rule in place stating that teams can only report a sellout if number of people who actually attend equal the number of seats. So many articles are filled with fluff so that was nice to see. There is an incredible amount of fluff coming from both the NHL and the Devils about their financial status. This gets me worried as a lot of people buy into their fluff and even on here I see a lot of people being sucked in by it. When the devils have yet to make a profit in many years, it gets me worried.
