Nieds stunk equally as much and I didn't see him get 1/10th of the razzing Marty got. Of course Nieds hasn't been shooting his mouth off either. Don't wanna get back to this really, but since you spoke to me specifically, I didn't want to ignore you. That's all we were really saying. We're not looking to pin blame on Marty. He has been getting blame in media, but not from him. He said something akin to "I always think I stink when we lose" and that was it. Which is fine, he's not supposed to drag his bum through the mud and bitch and moan about it. But then it's a... we could have used more players, we needed Scotty. We're just looking for someone not to kick our hard-working team when it's down. Everyone else was in the same boat as Marty; and we certainly couldn't go making huge deals with labor in question and the return of Scotty unspecific. Nieds was kinda redeemed by the whole stepping up as captain, Norris-worthy season, amazing playing before-hand thing whereas I feel that Marty wasn't as good this entire season as he has been before adn when he needed to step it up, he stepped it down.
