Fayne D 0 0 0 -1 0 1 12:33 2:04 2:39 17:16 It's hard to get a read on what kind of ice time DeBoer wants each player to get considering we were shorthanded a ridiculous 8 times last night and we had the man advantage 8 times so as a result the even strength TIO is skewed. Regardless, let's have a look at some numbers. Parise only played 7:54 of even strength time, the only players to play less even strength hockey were Mills (7:03) and Boulton (4:53). Elias played (8:05) of ES hockey, Zubrus played (12:20) and Josefson played (10:45), Kovalchuk had (14:00) of ES hockey. Obviously like I said these numbers shouldn't be an accurate representation of what Deboer is trying to do, I just wish he would have double shifted his top two lines. Fatigue shouldn't be an issue seeing as it was the first game of the season. Another interesting note is that both Palmier and Kovalchuk were both -3, everyone else broke even or ended up -1. In my opinion Palmieri played line complete garbage last night and should be on the 4th line, he looked out of place and was all of the ice in our own zone, a couple of times his running around led directly to Flyer's goals. It's also obvious that he and Kovalchuk should not be on a line together....especially not on the PK together .
