We need someone else who knows how to find the back of the net, i think he could have provided us with that.  We cant win a thing with one line doing all the work.

We made two deals to get that. Our offensive dealing is done.

Valeri Bure wasn't going to give us any of that. Kozlov's a much better talent for those purposes and I sure hope we get to see that real soon.

Then our chance at the cup is done.

I can't believe a Devils fan would say something like that. What does Lou have to do to prove himself to you? He sees what the need is and fills THAT hole. Not goes out and gets people just to get them.

You musta hated getting Grant Marshall, Pascal Rheaume and Richard Smehlik last year if you think we can't make a run by solidifying up the center position.

The talent on this team succeeds on heart, chemistry, playoff experience. We don't need someone without these things. Val was available last year... he went to the Blues... also a stacked team by some standards... they went out in the first round.

And you're also judging Hrdina and Kozlov based on one game between the two of them. I just don't understand how Valeri Bure could raise your spirits if Hrdina and Kozlov didn't.

OK, back into my hole cause you ain't gonna see my point and I'm never gonna see yours.

Okay, I didn't read all 7 pages of this thread, so I don't know all the Dev trade rumors, but I was disappointed when I logged on this morn, that nada, zip and zilch about a Dev trade. Come on Lou, do something.

I really can't stand the waiting. I think maybe I'll check back at 3:30 and see if there is rejoicing, tears or anger on the board.

And then there's the Flyer game tonight. LETS GO DEVILS!

This could be similar to last year. No trade day moves. If Stevens has told Lou that he will be back before the end of the year Lou may not make any additional moves. Clemmensen has done a good job as back up and Lou may balk at paying too high a price for a backup goalie.

And what, exactly, do we have to give up for him? Nothing.

We're not getting Jason Smith. We'll get a big, stay-at-home D-man for a tier-two prospect on the Rats and a pick.

Maybe Smelhik will be back.

I'll bet we can have him for free.

Just talked to a woman I know who works for the Devs........She said its pretty much a 100% certainty a deal will be made today......She couldnt give specifics but heres some things:

Said the Hill talks have cooled considerably

The Morris 3 way was true, but fell apart after the Lanche felt they needed a Center, so thats why the Yotes deal went through.....

Anaheim is a team the Devils are talking too considerably......

Devils are preferring a defenseman who is signed for a few years or a younger defenseman who will be restricted for a few years..........

You were right about Barnaby. Hopefully you're right here. Maybe another blockbuster with the Ducks? Rob, Carney and Gerber?

What 3 way deal w/Morris?

Carney?
Niedermayer?

...Sykora?

bum-bum-ba-bummmmm

Anyway, next 3 hours should be interesting.

Devs get Morris

Caps get Hale, Ballard and a pick

Lanche get Witt and Kolzig
