ESPN insider saying flyers looking to trade bobrovsky. No deals good enough being offered yet. Damn would I love him to come in and be our goalue of the future. Don't see a philly/nj trade happening though. Has it ever happened?

The best thing about the Kostitsyn situation is that he could become an UFA and not sign with the Preds. He should command a pretty good salary and not signing him would keep Nashville even farther from the cap. They might be the team to help out with our cap troubles, especially Rolston who has just one year left.

even with that, they're still a $7MM-$8MM short. of course, weber will get $6MM+ so that will close the gap significantly.

rolston really only makes sense for the isles i think, but zubrus could find a home in nashville.

and as has been mentioned plenty, clarkson could go to 1/2 the league.

i would be shocked to see anything happen re: trades until parise's contract is set.

i would say between now and 8/3, the only things we can expect are a coach, larsson's contract, and parise's deal - most likely in that order.

I know. I love Lou, but I'll enjoy when the secrecy is gone when he retires.

PS... the Islanders are running a prospects skills competition and scrimmage Saturday at Nassau. They sold some old equipment and jerseys (I got a game issued Biron). It was real cool. I wish the Devils would do something like that. I think they let people sneak into the practice rink 2 years ago on the last day of camp.

There's nothing to see at prospect camp anyway. Its freakin' prospect camp. There's nothing to draw from it other than seeing a bunch of kids scrimmage each other for a week.
