Devils Re-sign Greene and Hedberg

The New Jersey Devils have resigned unrestricted free agents Andy Greene and Johan Hedberg. Greene signed a 4 year deal expected to be a significant raise over the nearly 750k he made per year in his last deal. Greene led all Devils defensman in scoring with 23 points. (4g 19a)

Hedberg filled in admirably last season when starter Martin Brodeur struggled. He signs a one deal to remain with the club for the 2011-12 season. “Moose” appeared in 34 games last season for New Jersey posting a 15-12-2 record with a save percentage of .912.

Per team policy, the terms of deals were not yet disclosed.
