[Chuck the Duck]

Can someone explain why the supporters section counts down from the 3:40 mark to 3:30 every period. I assume they are paying tribute to the 30th anniversary of the team being in NJ a la Nordiques Nation, but I'm just looking for some confirmation.

Also, can be bag the vuvuzelas? They are obnoxious and are a terrible instrument to serve as the basis for keeping the rhythem of the supporter's chants. If anyone watches the supporters for MLS or international soccer, a bass drum usually serves this function best. It is loud, easy to use, and doesn't make me want to kill someone. Just a suggestion.

By the way, that was the first time in years that I felt like there were less than 100 Flyers fans in the building. The crowd was great, too bad the team wasn't. The balconies, usually filled with the visiting teams fans, were the biggest difference from years past.

-The balconies are full because they heavily discounted season tickets for them, and also had a special offer for those tickets.

-Drums aren't allowed in. I don't see the problem with a half-decent vuvuzela person.

-That chant sucks, in fact I think most do, since they are so forced/not easily understood, and thus, won't spread around the arena (unlike marty chants, kill chants, lgd, etc). But yeah it has to do with the 30th anniversary.

There were literally no flyers fans there, too bad we played like balls.

There was one patch of Flyers fans in the balconies opposite of the Supporters (behind the attack 2x net). They were typical Philly d-bags. On my first trip into the bathroom, one of them was standing at the child-height urinal, pants around his ankles, pissing all over the place. During the next intermission, I saw security escorting the same Flyers fan and a Devils fan out of the bathroom while the Devils fan yelled something like "But HE hit ME!"

Degenerates. Thank goodness there weren't as many of them as there usually are.

Thanks Adam. A friend and I purchased season tickets in the balconies this year because the deal was too good to pass up. We usually would get a flex plan for 8-10 games, but with the prices in the balconies being so low, we couldn't pass up the upgrade to season tickets. Just goes to show how much they overpriced those sections in the past. I was just happy not to be surrounded by a bunch of white trash, Schlitz drinking, retards who prison shank their fellow fans after a bus trip to away games.
