Man id love to see rinne on the devils, but if he even makes it to free agency this summer I can't see the devils having the cash he's probably going to want.

I don't think the devils played bad at all this period but that major penalty killed them. Also, Rinne has been great.

I love how Clarkson has become this years...
Let's cut the sh!t, seriously. Rinne has been amazing and is probably the top goalie in the NHL. We're not putting it past him easily. Let's critique play when the game is over. I've seen plays by other players on the team that no one even blinks at....ugh enough.

Yeah, rinne on a big market team would be considered a top league star. He's like an NHL secret.

Three plus games in and I'm already sick of Kovy, sick of Clarkson and sick of Boulton. The latter two are a waste of life and Kovy's power play is about 3% since he became a Devil (yes I know I'm exaggerating and his Fenwick/Corsi is higher lol but I'm not exaggerating by much).

Off topic, but I'm really glad the isles - rags game gets 2 hd feeds while we get a game that seems to be filmed with a sock over the lense.

Janssen is useless as well
How was he useless? He was attempting to change the momentum, fought a guy way out of his weightclass and managed to get some shots in and still stand by the end of it. At least he's got heart unlike Boulton, he should have been the one fighting McGrattan, heavyweight on heavyweight but I guess Boulton's retired from fighting like Peters. You just can't give these goons multi-year deals, it bites us in the *** every time.

In other news PHI knocks Doughty out of the game on a serious hit. LA sources reporting an upper body injury 7-10 day estimate.

I'm sorry, but if Clarkson either:
a: Hits the (completely) open net
or
b: Doesn't take that stupid penalty (I don't agree with the call, but hitting a guy from behind in the NHL right now is just a stupid idea)
The Devils are either winning or tied right now.
Rinne's played a stellar game so far, but those two moments above will stick out in my mind should they lose this game.
EDIT: Add 'bury either of those chances' to the above
