The Situation:

The Devils come into tonights matchup with a 3-1-0 record on the season vs a Sharks team with just the opposite (1-3-0) and has lost to the Devils 8 out of the last 10 contests. The Sharks have not won in NJ in almost 11 years, dating back to November 14th 2000 when they outscored the Devils 3-2.

Average TOI, debatable stat for sure but not many can deny the fact that Ilya Kovalchuk leads the league with 27:01 TOI ranked 4th of all forwards is an impressive stat. He shows absolutely no fatigue as the game goes on because of his style of play. The next forward in TOI list??? Anze Kopitar 57th with 22:18 TOI.

The closest Sharks player with TOI...Defensemen Dan Boyle ranked 5th with 26:55, as far as a forward on San Jose...we'll have to look down to rank 67, center Joe Pavelski with 21:59 just a bit under 5 mins of icetime less.

Rookie Adam Larsson you ask? 24:14 at 18yrs old, and he is still looking beast.

According to NHL.com, havlat is going to dress up for the sharks. Also, The offense is still a problem (7G in 4 games) and Hedberg will be the key to get us a win. Another good news is the devils remain at 7th despite not playing a game since last SAturday.
