Ha, that's prob going to draw a fine.

Here's the hit for those (like me) who didn't see it.

its hockey and people lose their emotions...that being said nose job lucic is an a-hole and i would love him on my team as miller probably would as well

http://sports.yahoo....urn=nhl-wp12092

Police questioned Lucic outside his condo and he told them: "My girlfriend is upstairs. We had an argument. We're fine. Why are you here at my house?"

As the officer continued to question Lucic, he "slammed his cell phone to the ground and yelled 'Do you know who I am?' " the police report states. At which point, the officer asked for identification and Lucic produced an ID from Vancouver, Canada.

"The $297,297 Kovalchuk missed today is money he will never, ever get back. And the more cheques he misses, the better the deal is going to have to be for the players to justify him sitting out. And unlike the owners, the players can direct their leadership to get a deal done regardless of how disadvantageous it is to them."

No fine! for Lucic LOL the rule stated that they are not fair game and (not exact wording)you must make an attempt to avoid contact. Shanny is way off here if that is the rule

The problem I have is that NO ONE really challenged Lucic in the aftermath.

I feel for Miller on this one. Lucic had time to avoid Miller but chose to just run him down. Lucic is a peice of garbage for this play.

I couldnt believe he wasnt even fined. I wouldnt expect a suspension because that is just part of the game it wasnt an illegal hit. Unsportsmanlike conduct possibly.

Anyone find out if Lucic got a penalty after this?

Goalies are not fair game and shouldn't be run like that...but c'mon, don't whine about it in the media. Next game settle it yourself with Lucic. You have two fists, you have a bigass stick. Teach him a lesson like Hextall would.

^7^ is just defending his sport sheeps.. as Alcibiades the exiled Athenian rationalizes in his speech to the enemy Spartans, he wants to take revenge on Athens because he loves it and can't stand to see the state it's in now - Triumph

Well, two days before the incident I traded Nick Backstrom from my fantasy league team for Ryan Miller...what luck.

This stinks...

The only Sabre on the ice really capable of doing so was Paul Gaustad. The problem is he was also the furthest Sabre away from Lucic when it happens, he was also held back by Horton once he reached the pile. Now I dont think its fair to expect someone like Sekera, Pominville or Vanek to just get pounded into a pulp by Lucic there.

"Jay Pandolfo's last game at Boston University was against the Wolverines," Madden said. "My job was to cover his line. Jay had scored something like 30 goals in 30 games that season. And that was his 31st game. Guess what happened?"

"We always joke about it now," Madden said. "Jay tells me: 'You shut me down that game and you've been shutting me down ever since. The only problem is, now you're playing with me. ' "

That was different, Price trapped put himself against the far boards with Jansen coming down full speed at the side.

Lucic is an ass for that btw

"Quite frankly, all the players are getting paid too much and all the contracts are too long," general manager Lou Lamoriello said. "But if you want to compete in this market and you want to win, there are some things you have to do."
