i love when team scores highlight goals against us
It's a good feeling. This is what it is like to be a .500 team. We are going to come close a lot of games and either sqeak by with a win or lose by a hair

yo shut up lol.. people jump all over one loss. chill.Devils deserved to lose. The record says it all ladies and gentlemen ...AVERAGE. that's all we can expect from this team this year. Were falling too far behind the flyers pens and Omg the fvcking rangers have a 7 game win streak. Awesome.
tonights game was a loss by us. good fight in the last minute but yo we didnt really deserve that one. the entire second half of the 3rd period we let boston do whatever they wanted. this game could easily have been 6-3 because boston had so many chances. fvck i hate to see that

We were only five points out of the conference lead.
About the rags. It is easy to win games when you are beating up on long island, Ottawa, Winnipeg, Carolina, etc. We have had a far tougher schedule.

Bruins have two ridiculous lines. Lucic has really raised his game to another level, and the transofrmation of Seguin is ridiculous. He became a star overnight.

"The Stanley Cup has fallen from the Stars. The new millennium has its first Stanley Cup Champion, and it's the New Jersey Devils." Mike Miller calling the Devils winning the Stanley Cup.
"It goes to the captain and then there are handoffs during a skate around the ice" Mike Emrick as Scott Stevens is being presented the Stanley Cup.

Geez, you guys are tougher than I am. They just played the two best teams in the league fairly well over the last three games, granted you don't want too many 1-2 stretches but at least they're finally starting to score some goals.
They need to get at least two of the last three on the trip to make something of a statement though. Finishing the trip 2-4 in their last six games really doesn't say much, finishing 3-3 given the five-game road trip and the caliber of opponent over these six games is more than I could have expected from this team.
And if someone says kovalchuck would have made a difference you're out of your mind. The devils would have gotten blown the fvck out if he was on the ice. All the teams ahead of us have made moves to improve their club and we made the biggest mistake in franchise history by signing him.
Here comes the anti-Kovy bias. You'd be the first one screaming and yelling about how we're a better team without Kovy if we'd had won five in a row instead of going 3-2.

The New Jersey Devils win Stanley Cups everywhere:
-NHL record for most road wins in the playoffs - 10-1 in '95 and 10-2 in '00
-NHL record for most home wins in the playoffs - 12-1 in '03

Well since you already know what's gonna happen from here on out, I guess you don't have to waste your time making yourself miserable by watching.
