This isn't the night to get on the hype machine, unfortunately Crosby's one of the rare ones that lives up to the hype. If you think two goals and four points isn't a HUGE story after the guy missed eleven months I don't know what to tell you.

"The Devils have high standards, that's the difference. We have a standard to live up to every year, and a couple of teams in our area don't have the standards we do." - Pat Burns

The New Jersey Devils win Stanley Cups everywhere:
-NHL record for most road wins in the playoffs - 10-1 in '95 and 10-2 in '00
-NHL record for most home wins in the playoffs - 12-1 in '03

"NHL needs to learn how to market its top players like other leagues."

"Holy sh!t. NHL.com is talking on and on about Crosby's insane night. What idiots."

"The Stanley Cup has fallen from the Stars. The new millennium has its first Stanley Cup Champion, and it's the New Jersey Devils." Mike Miller calling the Devils winning the Stanley Cup.

"It goes to the captain and then there are handoffs during a skate around the ice" Mike Emrick as Scott Stevens is being presented the Stanley Cup.

I'd pretty much say the old question "Crosby or Ovechkin?" is over. Imo, Crosby is clearly the best player in the league. That being said, I still absolutely hate him.

And I would STILL absolutely take Ovy over Cindy! My dislike for the guy runs deep. Posted Image Hell, I'd take Malkin or Stall over Cryby just for the point of it!! Posted Image

So you'd rather not win than do it with him?

I'd like him if he was on the Devils. I loved my poodle. My poodle was a dog through and through -- just sometimes acted like a whiney city boy and he tried so hard not to be one.

Someone just needs to tell Sindy he IS a poodle. And he needs to put forth effort to NOT be one if he wants more than just his talent respected. No one tells him though. He's spoiled. He doesn't understand that he has to earn personal respect with more than just great hockey play. It really isn't enough. He's unappealing and not because everyone is just jealous. :noclue:

You know, everyone is quick to jump on southern franchises, but can the Islanders be contracted already? What a pathetic franchise. Its so difficult to suck year after year the way they do.

Fun fact via the backhand shelf podcast....since the last time Crosby played, Kim Kardashian got engaged, married, and divorced.

Crosby may be the best player to wear a sweater in the past 30 years. He's excellent.

Don't care how good he is, my disgust towards him has grown exponentially the past 24 hours.

The Devils sh!tting the bed probably has something to do with it, but seriously. Did anyone flip on the game last night and listen to Pierre McGuire literally declare his love for Sid? It was literally distrusting..still don't know why Versus hired him as an in-game commentator.

It's overexposure plain and simple.
It's like a hungry man eating crackers. At first they're the best thing on the planet then he gets crackers everyday for 7 years and becomes sick and tired of them. Yes, it is a twist on an Eddie Murphy joke.
