That goal counts depending on the situation. Like someone said before, if Crosby scores it, it counts. You know this to be true.It was a distinct kicking motion. Accidental perhaps, but it was a kicking motion. I don't think you can ever allow that.

it fvcking better. i cant stand watching his only (almost) goal be one that completely messed my emotions up. we shouldnt have even been in that situation against the pusssssssy islanders he, and most of the others, need to play with some more fight for christ sakesFvck this. Literally the only positive is that this might light a fire under Parise's ass.

If a Rag scores it, it doesn't even get reviewed. Heck they'd probably count it twice

I don't believe that was a distinct kicking motion. Hell, I've seen goals with a lot more of a kick stand. fvcking figures.
Why is anyone surprised this fvcking league makes up and changes the rules as they go along?
It's just further irony that this team's two "best" players both had a hand in this loss, one worse then the other. Imagine where this team would be if they each were contributing in the goal column?

M problem with goals like this is there is so much gray area and it seems like the NHL literally flips a coin to decide. There are some goals that get counted that are like soccer kicks, while others that are hardly touched by a skate, with inconclusive video evidence get disallowed. I just can't stand the gray area. That goal counts depending on the situation. Like someone said before, if Crosby scores it, it counts. You know this to be true.

Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is!
Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!

Rutgers absolutely sh!ts the bed, and now the Devils get robbed of 2 points.
Awesome fvcking sports day. Damn this to fvcking hell.
And the Rangers are winning on top of that. But, it's the lesser or two evils with that game, anyway.

Kick implies intent in my mind. He had no idea where the hell the puck was, it went off his skate.

I just don't get it. My personal bias and rage aside, he was FALLING OVER. There was NO kick, it was pushed forward by the falling skate.
Kick implies intent in my mind. He had no idea where the hell the puck was, it went off his skate.
I disagree. What happens if a player falls down and on his way to break his fall, he swipes the puck in with his glove, should that count? I don't think the rule cares about intent or not.

"The Stanley Cup has fallen from the Stars. The new millennium has its first Stanley Cup Champion, and it's the New Jersey Devils." Mike Miller calling the Devils winning the Stanley Cup.
"It goes to the captain and then there are handoffs during a skate around the ice" Mike Emrick as Scott Stevens is being presented the Stanley Cup.
