The rags are the real deal this year and they keep finding ways to win and they have beaten tough teams too so the schedule arguement is silly. However it is still too early to really tell if they are cup contenders.

fvck both of these teams. Too bad the Rangers won, but I'm glad it's over so I won't have to hear about the Winter Classic anymore.
+1 yep

The Rags are cup contenders. Contenders to cup my balls with one hand while blowing me.
Odds please, sir.

Sometimes I still wish we had Rupp.
He scored two goals in this game (one a bad one by bobrovsky) and another this game that was already to be expected to count towards his 8 goals a season average and you miss him for that?
Yeah I know someone will say he is a clutch scorer because of today and in 03 finals, but just think about how silly that thought is.

Flyers plain out blow.......they still have no goaltending...F them
Seriously that softie was what lost is for them. All the air went out of that place when they tied it like that. My girlfriend is a Flyers fan and she is fvcking livid right now and I definitely don't blame her. The Flyers had that game one and just gave it to the Rags.

I fvcking hate the Rangers. I can't believe they're in such a good position right now. But with that said..they only time they've played bad this season was in the very beginning ..they're going to experience losing and adversity at least once this season. It's a long season. It's inevitable. Let's see how they respond then.

they shoulda been up by 2 or 3 goals going into the third, but they couldnt get that big lead and then choked.....every time I root for them they freekin choke!

Id rather have pretty much any other player in the nhl right now than Janssen.
But rupp had two tours of duty here and other than in the 03 finals didn't do much.

yeah I think we can do better than Janssen, if he was the best fighter in the league I'd be OK with him, but he cant score and his fighting is just OK
Rupp got a decent amount of money from Sather, he's in a good position,(like in Pitt) because he only needs to chip in here and there

Unfortunately, I think that they already have. Those first couple of weeks were really bad for them. What's worse though, is that they're getting healthy now (just like the Devils). Pittsburgh (with the continuing Crosby saga) and Philadelphia (with Bryzgalov under-performing and all of their injuries) are both fading now, though.
I'm not that concerned about the Rangers though. Like I said before, the best regular season team rarely does well during the second season. Winning your division is almost a curse, historically.

Queen 3-0 w/ 1.33 GAA vs Flyers. Jesus.
I'm surprised a dirty team like Philly doesnt run into him more to get him off his game.
