i really cant add thinking about this game for any duration, to the worrying about the last game. :puke:

I just have to forget about this and hope we fix this problem immediately

I get the feeling Jamie Langs wasn't the problem last season.

We're definitely not a playoff team this season. We can barely keep up with basement dwellers like NYI and CBJ and we get beat pretty handily by mediocre teams like CO.

Friday is indeed another day, but it won't get any easier going up against a tough Minnesota team. they need to get their act together. not that this loss was completely Marty's fault by any means (though he wasn't spectacular or something) would definitely like to see moose get the nod in the next one.

Moose will probably get the nod on Friday, but I doubt it will help. Minnesota plays a team game.

Yeah, of course not. It was the fvcking coach. How many games did we win under Lemaire again? 28 wins outright, 1 win in the SO, 17 losses outright and 3 losses we got a loser point for.

This team didn't magically lose all the talent exhibited during the final 49 games last year.

Can we just erect a Jacques Lemaire statue at the Pru and raise a banner with the number 49 already?

That was, well.... something.

I think they may actually be WORSE defensively than they were last year, they just don't have everything stacked against them like they did then.

If you take away OT/SO wins and loses and count them as ties we are 6 wins 10 losses 7 ties

Well you don't really take away the OT win, there was OT back when there were ties. So their 'real hockey' record is more like 7-10-6, which is bad enough.

So much for the team getting on a roll when the schedule got weaker...or the Rangers collapsing when their schedule got stronger :P But let people bring out the CORSI/Fenwick/Strength of schedule arguments to tell me how the Devils are going to win nine of ten

The New Jersey Devils win Stanley Cups everywhere:
-NHL record for most road wins in the playoffs - 10-1 in '95 and 10-2 in '00
-NHL record for most home wins in the playoffs - 12-1 in '03

FLA, TOR, NYR all kicking arse and the Devils tanking in the standings. This reminds me of all those movies they made in the eighties where two people switched bodies.

I'm envious of the Leafs, they somehow came up with a terrific offense from what was an absolute wasteland, guys like Lupul and Bozak have come out of nowhere to be among their better players. While we can't buy an even NHL-caliber offense with our glut of LW 'stars' :P

Hell if we can't get Lemaire, fire DeBoer and put Lou behind the bench. He did alright.

Just make the playoffs, that's all that really matters. When Zajac and Josefson get back that should be easier.

We can't afford to wait for Zajac and Josefson to come back. We'll be too far behind to catch up by then.

What they did is a sham and will be exposed as the season wears on. Toronto will finish below New Jersey.

Hopefully Lou is more trigger happy this time around, but let Lemaire have Christmas at home with the grand kids and then he can shoot down here and take the job in time for our Jan. 4th home game vs. the Bruins.
