I have friends that swear by Hamburgao or Casa Nova when they have that craving...when it comes to overeating, The Ironbound is a proud supplier of huge portions.

For Italian - Assaginni Di Roma. Great food but can be a little hard to find since it is in the middle of a neighbor hood. Look for the green awning and the double parked cars (almost like a speak easy). Never had a bad meal. I believe they cater for some of the teams when they come in also

We were taking my son and DIL to EWR for their return trip to Seattle. My son suggested VIVO on Ferry at Jackson. 4pm on a Sunday afternoon. The tapas selection was pretty good. Prices were very reasonable. It looks like they attract a big dance crowd at night.

Not in the Ironbound but Hobby's is even closer to the arena. It's one of those old school places where one sandwhich is more than enough to feed two people. Plus, they are big Devils fans, which helps. They also have a the Lundqvist special, but it only comes in a bowl (no cups!).
