For anyone interested, Penn State is playing on Winter Classic Ice @ 8pm on January 4th. They're a club team now, and the program is moving to D1 next year with the opening of a new arena. Tickets are only $10. Could be a great way to experience the Winter Classic setup on the cheap (and comfort as I can’t imagine this will be a huge draw)
I'm an Alum and used to follow this team closely in the mid-90s. So for me nostalgia is also a factor, and I’d like to enjoy a positive coming out of the school considering all the negative crap that happened this year.

I had heard about this a while back but completely forgot. Thanks for reminding me. I'll definitely try to go! I've been pumped for D1 hockey ever since I heard about the move last year.
