I never bash Kovy, but one thing that bothers me about him is he never leads with his stick. He skates into a play or a scrum carrying his stick high or behind him. If he had his stick on the ice toward the play he'd have a lot more opportunities.

A shorthanded goal with 2 defensemen on the point, but yeah, Marty has to stop that

That one was a shame...Marty has been getting some breaks, but was making some nice saves.

THE NHL MUST LOVE THE DEVILS - from who else? A RANGER fan!
[Mark Messier]: A big, bald attention whore with a stupid Easter Island-lookin face. - from who else? DaneykoIsGod!

Even when Marty comes back maybe Larry should put Clemmensen to be on the goal during the shootouts.
Can the coach do that ? Switch the goalies 5 seconds to go in overtime?
- Most priceless quote ever posted on a message board.

Martin Brodeur: THE MOST ALL-TIME WINS!, 12 straight seasons of 30+ wins, 3 Stanley Cups, 4 Vezina Trophies, and zero respect from too many so-called Devils "fans" who are either too young or too bandwagon to remember the much darker days of Sean Burke, Craig Billington, Bob Sauve, Alain Chevrier, and the talented but overwhelmed Chico Resch, among many others.

It's easy to support a great player when he's playing at his very best. It takes a true fan to support that same player during those rare moments and stretches when he's not. Babe Ruth went 0-4 some games, and sometimes Wayne Gretzky was held pointless. There may be such a thing as greatness, but no such thing as absolute perfection every single night.

Not much surprise there. Did make a lot of big saves tonight though, but that one was a bad one there for sure. Like I said, kind of sad, he was playing better. Hope the Devils can pull it out for him.

Well..I guess it could be worse right now but...I mean the Devils should have won this game already. I guess they're lucky. They have played on level of 5-6 from 1-10. I just can not believe Marty gave up that goal like that. Thats the reason while we lose to teams with good goal tenders.

God, how many needless points have the Devils gave up to conference rivals this year? Two to Florida in that comeback, one to Ottawa earlier this year in the home game and at least one tonight, one to the Caps, one to the Jets (all in games where we blew multi-goal leads)...these wasted points WILL come back to haunt us if we're not careful.
