[Mark Messier]: A big, bald attention whore with a stupid Easter Island-lookin face. - from who else? DaneykoIsGod!
Even when Marty comes back maybe Larry should put Clemmensen to be on the goal during the shootouts.
Can the coach do that ? Switch the goalies 5 seconds to go in overtime? - Most priceless quote ever posted on a message board.
Martin Brodeur: THE MOST ALL-TIME WINS!, 12 straight seasons of 30+ wins, 3 Stanley Cups, 4 Vezina Trophies, and zero respect from too many so-called Devils "fans" who are either too young or too bandwagon to remember the much darker days of Sean Burke, Craig Billington, Bob Sauve, Alain Chevrier, and the talented but overwhelmed Chico Resch, among many others.
It's easy to support a great player when he's playing at his very best. It takes a true fan to support that same player during those rare moments and stretches when he's not. Babe Ruth went 0-4 some games, and sometimes Wayne Gretzky was held pointless. There may be such a thing as greatness, but no such thing as absolute perfection every single night.

Starting to look like this might be a lost year for Zajac. Not sure why Henrique would have to worry about falling out of the top 6, even if Zajac was 100% healthy...why would he be dropped?
if he was 100% healthy, he would get into the top 6. perhaps, based on last night, they could juggle to create:
parise-elias-kovalcuk
henrique-zajac-zubrus
the reason i brought it up was because it was speculated that he might have gotten pushed out if they went
parise-zajac-kovalchuk
sykora-elias-zubrus
henrique-josefson-clarkson
tedenby-carter-zalewski

Teddy looked much better last nite playing on a different line from clarkson.
Wasnt he on a line last night with Clarkson and Sykie?

“I think winning against them in the big stage, not just for me, but for the fans of New Jersey, people that are supporting us and always take a second seat to these guys for whatever reason, now they’ve got to be pretty happy going to work and going to school and doing all their things that they do." - Martin Brodeur

I mean, my guess is as good as anyone else's here in terms of reading DeBoer's mind, but I'd think that Elias would be the first choice just based on what either player has played their entire career. As far as I can tell Henrique has never played the wing, has he?

I'm curious as to the rational that people are coming up with in moving Henrique to the wing instead of Elias.

he played a fair amount of it last year in Albany, i think.

Neither Eliteprospects.com nor anywhere else I can find shows position breakdowns with their crappy stats, so I don't know.
